Supposedly renovated. We stayed over for one night on our travel. Our room was dissapointing!
The bed mattress was very old and you could feel the springs through it. The shower door didnt shut properly meaning water flooded the bathroom.
There was only one tablespoon available in our room (so no teaspoons for tea and coffee and you constantly had to wash that same spoon). It wasn't the cheapest place to stay so would have expected better. The air-conditioned/heater was still set on cold even though it was winter so it was very chilly in the room in the early hours of the morning. Wouldn't recommend

Budget motel which is excellent value for money.
Everything was clean and tidy. TV works fine as does the remote for it.
Has air-conditioning if needed.
Electric blankets fitted to the beds, just plug in and they get toasty quickly on the highest setting.
Shower is fine, just need a smidgen of the cold tap for things to be just right.
This motel has stacks of rooms so plenty of accommodation to suit.
There are some upstairs rooms so if you cannot climb stairs make sure you get the ground level ones.
Has a restaurant but it was booked out for a tour bus.
Not sure if it does meals add hock

I was given a room in the back section. It was an older style of room & unrenovated. I suspect the rooms at the front are better. I paid $100. The bed was uncomfortable. The fridge was a small square one. There was a table & chairs, microwave, toaster, kettle, tea, coffee, sugar, glasses, cutlery, mugs & UHT milk. The air conditioner was ineffective & the light over the kitchenette shuddered when it turned on. Parking was not directly in front of my room.

I stayed 2 nights on different dates
10/04 - Stay was ok, requested for a tissue box several times, but never got that delivered.
16/04 - Faulty AC, they tried to repair but couldn't. They offered a replacement room but as we were already unpacked and about to go to bed, we stayed in same room.
I could have rated this low as both times out experience was not that great.
But rating this 4 stars only because the poliet behaviour of the owners and good gesture in offering another room.

Stayed at the Cobb Inlander on 16/12/20 and they were very busy but I was greeted with a warm welcome. Not having a reservation and coming into a heavily booked Hay I was a bit concerned but this was no trouble for the staff. That found me a clean tidy very acceptable room for the tired business traveller. It was quiet during the night and a comfortable sleep.
I left my toilet bag in the bathroom and discovered it 120ks down the road. This was no problem as with a quick phone call the staff posted it back to me within a few days. Great Service. I would recommend it as good quality affordable accomodation
