Services
St. George Martial Arts Academy is proud to offer its members access to over 70 classes per week, 6 days per week across two convenient locations all within the St. George district. We offer our members unlimited classes and access to the academy's timetable and branches for the one low membership fee (register for your FREE TRIAL class and we will provide you with our information kit).
Master George has been training in the Martial Arts for over 30 years with extensive competition experience in Judo and Taekwondo. In addition to his two core systems of choice he has experience in Wing Chun Kung Fu and Kick Boxing. His Martial Arts journey spans 3 decades and he has been a student for many years under some of the most respected Grand Masters in Australia.
When choosing the right Taekwondo school for you and your family, it's important for you to know you that by joining a Taekwondo school you are making an investment of not only your time, sweat and energy but also your hard earned money.

Membership fees need to be looked at as an investment in the student's future and well-being, not just another living expense - therefore if the fees for self defence and Taekwondo training are looked at as an investment, then it is only fair that you expect a return on that important investment for you and your family.
Did you know that St. George Martial Arts Academy offers UNLIMITED CLASSES for one low weekly membership fee? Did you know that St. George Martial Arts Academy offers generous family discounts for parents and siblings? Did you now that St. George Martial Arts Academy is one the biggest Martial Arts schools in the area?
Your pre-schooler will benefit from St. George's favourite kids Martial Arts program! Our early learning Kids Martial Arts program is designed for those little Martial Artists still getting familiar with the world.

With plenty of instructors and assistants running the classes your child will progress in leaps and bounds by learning to develop their gross motor skills, manners, attitude, independence, listening skills, focus, alertness, stranger danger and more - Parents of St. George can't seem to get enough of our value-packed program!

I personally went here I was the best student and I was a assistant coach and what I can say is that the standards are high and if you want your kid to come here it is not for fun. Everything is fixed and to be honest if you were really good you would have to pay more money. at one stage my mum had to pay $350 for me and my sister because we were very good. Just saying he isn't that bad of a guy he is real but he wants to make money like everyone else. Thank you

Love this place! The whole family go and enjoy it. Old school training in a great family atmosphere, with instructors that care. 6 days a week of training if you can handle it

As previous reviewers have noted the classes are boring, repetitious and dull. With instructor A who oversees his classes with
a somnolent indifference, or Instructor B who prefers shouting, shaming, and repetitious lectures about iPads and “discipline”,
You’re better off with one of the juniors - or even better, get your kids out of here and into a team sport, music, or something pro social rather than pro profit for this mob.
In fairness Instructor C was good as she at least made some attempt to understand the developmental needs of under 7’s, but gee, her charges were packed in like

Been attending for a few years now and love the fact that the belts are earned and not given just for turning up, errors in technique are highlighted and fixed with amazing results.
It has helped both myself and my family with confidence that helps all aspects of our life. The members now feel like our extended family and we are treated as such.

Not fun, not well organised, dirty, stuffy air, too crowed. my kid and some other kids do not enjoy it at all. once you register you sign up for at least two months before you can cancel.

Dishonest continue to take money via direct debit for almost 12 months after we finished classes
Only heard from them after I cancelled the credit card
They then referred me to the department of fair trading ! No intention of resolving

My sons attended classes for 12 months. I decided to discontinue the classes. I was very disappointed that classes are repetitious and Master George is fond of lengthy “crappy” and irrelevant lectures every class and it is a waste of money. He is fond shouting and pointing out little mistakes and humiliates the students in front of the whole class. He has an obsession with power and authority and dominates the students. He allocates the students to do classes on his behalf when he is away for few weeks holiday. I would not recommend this martial arts school to anyone!
