Services
Australian Bred and designed to suit our harsh weather conditions (summer heat, winter frosts). Will usually grow in any soil, but we still recommend a good layer of top soil for a better finished job. Excellent turf for playing fields, schools, footpaths, pre-schools also backyards where there may be dogs, children etc.
Matilda is a unique soft buffalo lawn with its own unique strengths and characteristics which separate it from the other soft leaf buffalo grasses. Matilda is a semi-dwarf buffalo lawn, which refers to Matilda having finer and thinner stems and stolons. The leaf width is narrower than common buffalo varieties and a leading brand on the market today.
If you have an existing lawn it is recommended to use round up on that area, let the lawn die then remove the lawn by using a turf cutter or bobcat. Put turf underlay down, we suggest 70% sand and 30% Soil as this gives the new lawn the drainage it requires. Make sure the turf underlay is spread out evenly and there are no big rocks or weeds coming through.
Symptoms are: the grass starts to die in patches for no apparent reason or the lawn has damaged root system and looks brown and discolored. These caterpillars are brown, greenish brown, or black sometimes with striped to triangular markings along the body, they feed on the lawns in large groups. If you see moths hanging around your lawn, there is a good chance they are laying the Army worm egg.
