Beacon Aged Care & Retirement Advisers was founded in 2015 and from the beginning, we did things a little differently, specialising only in Aged Care Financial Advice. We provide real advice when it's needed most, creating significant long-term cost savings and security for our clients. We were inspired to establish Beacon after experiencing the complexities of the aged care sector firsthand, looking for the best possible care for a loved one.

Cons around Respite I hear you ask? What could possibly be the downside to having a loved one you care for placed into care for. Each and every week we meet with families who are tackling the daunting process of moving loved ones into care. Often they're entering this whole. Amongst the daily tragedy unfolding on our television screens, the radio, in papers and online, other issues facing our sector aren't getting much attention.

Beacon are aptly named! The overwhelming paperwork and convolutions of trying to navigate aged care services disappeared when these folks came to my rescue and managed the whole situation. It was literally a weight taken off my shoulders. I have already recommended Beacon to friends who have had the same positive experience. Things are explained clearly, and the team keep you informed and respond promptly to any kind of question with patience and understanding. They know their stuff. The Age Care Act and its interaction with Centrelink is complicated and convoluted! Frankly, I say to people " you got to have rocks in your head if you think you can navigate the minefield that is the Age Care Act and Centrelink on your own!!". Go with Beacon and the process is painless and efficient. I also recommend taking up Beacons offer of a once off fee for taking care of all matters Centrelink for the Client on an ongoing basis - money well worth every cent of it!

My Mother needed to go into Aged Care and we had picked out an Aged Care facility but we didn't know if she could afford it or how to go about applying for Centrelink. Narelle at Beacon helped us calculate what she would get from Centrelink and even applied to Centrelink on her behalf, making it all very quick (Yes, it was quick!) and easy! I will definitely use them when it is my time to go into Aged Care!

We can’t speak highly enough about Beacon. Natalie and Jason were recommended to us and I was worried we wouldn’t be able to meet with them as we live in the Blue Mountains. Our appointment was on a Zoom call, and the outcomes provided were above and beyond anything we imagined. We were seriously worried we could not afford aged care for Dad, we were so wrong. I don’t know what we would have done without them!!

The more research we did on aged care and its costs, the more confused we became. Fortunately, we were advised to speak to Beacon and from our first contact with the very helpful team, our confidence levels began to grow. During a 90 minute meeting, Jason was able to clarify complex arrangements for us and present options to get our mother the care she deserves. Jason has been working with us throughout my dad's recent illness and passing. He has helped every step of the way. When dad wanted some extra reassurance about what was going to happen financially, Jason went the extra mile and visited him in hospital. Jason is amazingly quick with his facts and figures.
