The most common question I am asked is "How is your optometry practice different to others?" To begin with, we are West-Australian owned, with West-Australian staff. We are all local and involved in our wonderful community here, which means that we are passionate advocates for the South-West - its people, places and businesses.
We are friendly, professional and caring, and completely focused on providing you with the very best service and eye care. Janelle Coates is our optometrist, with over twenty-five years post-graduate experience. Janelle graduated from the University of New South Wales with first class honours, winning four final year university prizes for clinical optometry and research, also being named the Faculty Scholar.
At EyesWest, we put your eyes first. Our staff are highly experienced and trained in up-to-date technology, and you will most certainly not find a "one size fits all" approach to eyecare here. At EyesWest we enhance your eyecare experience with a Zeiss Cirrus HD-OCT. The Optical Coherence Tomographer (OCT) takes high quality, highly accurate cross-sectional images of your retina safely and painlessly, allowing your eyes to be visualised as never before. It gives us the best possible information to make important clinical judgements about your eyes.
As an optometrist, I detect, diagnose, treat and manage eye health and vision conditions that affect your eyesight. I can also in some instances identify general health conditions that are first detected via an eye exam. I also provide referrals to eye surgeons (ophthalmologists) for more complex eye conditions.

Given glasses and had vision difficulties. Told to take them home to get used to them. Next afternoon, after vision re-testing with the optometrist it was agreed that the glasses would be sent back to manufacturer. We were repeatedly assured EyesWest Bunbury are customer focussed and get it right 99.99% of the time. Money refunded. Original review comments withdrawn.

I have had to wear glasses from a young age. I discovered Janelle and her team 6 years ago and haven’t looked back. They are nothing short of amazing, and where can I begin about their incredible frames. I love helpful and honest the girls are when choosing a frame and how thorough Janelle is when doing an eye examination. But what I love more is the regular compliments I get on my glasses. I now live interstate and will still continue to support EyesWest when I return for holidays. I don’t trust my eyes with anyone else. I couldn’t not recommend EyesWest enough!

I recently visited Eyeswest for an eye examination for myself and my two children. It was their first eye test and Janelle and her team were exceptional at putting the children at ease and making them feel as comfortable as possible. They loved the experience! I felt Janelle had so much time to answer all my questions, and really took the time to understand and reassure me over any concerns I had.

I was given the opportunity to do a photoshoot gig for one of their events a while ago and I was very happy with everything.
EyesWest has an amazing group of kind and lovely staff who will go out of the way to make sure you're receiving the best possible customer service.
They actively look out for your needs and try to find the best pair of glasses that suits you best.
The location is incredibly nice, tidy and very conveniently located.

All the girls at Eyes West, Bunbury, were just brilliant, from their Optometrist Janelle, to Gail at the front counter, and everyone between.
The care and attention was superb as was the help in choosing frames.
I would recommend them with no hesitation to all who require this service.
