About Us Report

First opened in 1915, Sonbern Lodge has been a welcome haven for many travelers. Over the years the building has under gone many changes and now offers "Quality Accommodation". All rooms have ensuite, hairdryer, s/s rev-cyc. The Deluxe Motel units, are located on ground level, behind the Lodge & adjacent the off street car park.

We stayed in lovely two bedroom bungalow. Great location. The accomodation included everything we needed. Kids Loved it too, close to the beach, we’ve been riding bout scooters, Wateroo swimming pool enclosurep, playground across the road, shopping mall.

Excellent establishment. Everything i required catered for. Amenities are clean and tidy. The owners live on site, which is a bonus as they can attend to any issues if they arise. I liked the 4 towels provided, even though I was a single. Nice touches with toiletries provided, microwave, bar fridge, etc. I used one of the BBQ provided during my 5 day stay there. Recommend.

Well appointed and comfortable, if you can get around the fact it does look quite tired.
They keep it well maintained and clean and the staff are lovely and very friendly.
Being in such a central location, everything is within walking distance.

Just stayed in one of the rooms out in the courtyard. It was nice and clean, and quiet even for a Friday and Saturday night. Hot water was a bit slow to come through but apart from that, all good and we'll be back. 3.9 Stars

Great place, loved the room and all their decor around the place. Staff were lovely and accomodating. We rang up 2 hours before we were coming in and they where happy to fit us in. The room has everything you will need and the building was historically quaint! Would definitely come again!!

Enjoyed our 2 night stay at sonbern lodge, so peaceful and quiet!!. Perfect for those who value their privacy. We had the upstairs family room and found it to be comfortable and well equipped. The beds were soft but supportive. The bathroom was clean and well maintained with a good size shower. The free WiFi worked great and we were able to stream content from our tablet. There is off-street parking to the side of the building and in a perfect location for walking around the Wallaroo town and foreshore area, there is easy access to Kadina and Moonta by car. Wouldn't want a thing to change at Sonbern
