The goal here was to significantly increase the living areas inside & out by adding a lounge and dining room, pool and deck, kitchenette, parent's retreat etc., and to convert the 'Colonial Style' with an updated beach-theme in keeping with its unique location at Valla Beach.

We provided a full architectural service, incorporating everything from the Concept to the Development Application (D.A.), Construction Certificate (C.C.) and Contract Administration (construction with a builder).The clients were impressed enough to call us back in 2015 to provide a new kitchen design, further updating the original dwelling.

New Shop - top residences designed for Scotts Head Real Estate at no. 7A Ocean St Scotts Head. We were approached by a north coast pub owner and developer to create a new licensed premises, replacing the old Golden Sands Hotel. Our central idea was a 'Euro-Style' courtyard-entry which boasted a Beer Garden on the main street, providing a sophisticated facility for the service of food and beverage.

We were initially cautious about using an architect for our modest renovation. However, as Alan led Jan and I through the process of design and documentation including Council negotiations and approvals, etc. etc., we became increasingly aware of the value that a talented architect can add to your project.
