At Kallangur Podiatry, we are a community-focused podiatry clinic that aims to provide an enjoyable health journey for all your podiatric needs from hip to toes. We provide premium podiatric services to the Kallangur, Petrie, North Lakes and Murrumba Downs surrounding areas. Beginning with a comprehensive assessment with our passionate podiatrist, Scott, who has over 10 years of clinical experience.
The focal point of our clinic is to educate our patients on what treatments best suit their needs and work with our patients to achieve their goals. We accept referrals from GPs and provide on the spot rebates for Enhanced Primary Care plan referrals. Fees may apply to some services but this will be discussed by our friendly team who are happy to answer your questions.

Services
I began my podiatry journey over 10 years ago and graduated from QUT inspired that the world starts from the feet up. I enjoy all aspects of podiatry from general foot and nail care and diabetic assessments to complex biomechanical patients, post-surgery patients and what we call sports injuries in the lower limbs.
General foot care - this includes the daily needs of general nail care and prevention screening for diabetics. High-risk foot care - this type of podiatrist mainly works in the public sector working with acute wounds and amputations. Sports and Rehab - this includes assessing, diagnosing and treatment of lower limb injuries from sport to everyday aches and pains like plantar heel pain (plantar fasciitis).
There are a number of factors that can contribute to cracking skin on your feet, and the majority of them are avoidable. What are some of these possible causes? Step 1: Avoid letting hard skin build up on the feet. Using a pumice stone or chiropody stone is one of the best ways to physically remove hard callous build-up from the feet.
Bunions are an unsightly development of a boney prominence on the side of the foot at the big toe joint. These are the result of a progressive deformity whereby the big toe joint eventually dislocates as the 1st metatarsal bone rotates out of alignment. This change is called hallux (big toe) abducto-valgus (the rotation) or HAV in the medical industry.
We commonly see ingrown toenails in teenagers as a result of poor nail cutting techniques or changes as they grow. In the older population we also see poor nail cutting techniques but common it is associated with trauma like kicking your toe on the corner table or dropping something heavy on the toe.

Highly recommend! I had a terribly painful ingrown toe nail that I put off getting seen to for way too long due to anxiety around needles, but Scott created a very safe and calm environment that soon put my nerves to rest! Absolute magician when it came to the anaesthetic too! Hardly felt a thing. He even made an extra effort to provide me with some sound advice regarding my knee which I need surgery on, which was very helpful. Thanks again!

I've got a history of terrible ingrown nails and after my last time with nail bed removal was highly sceptical about trying it again. After listening through my nerves, Scott assured me that the procedure would be as painless as possible and lo and behold he was absolutely right.
He did a great job at calming any concerns and once we got the job underway was very gentle and responsive to feedback. I would absolutely recommend his service to anyone suffering from petulant nails.
