Chiropractic care has been proven to offer substantial relief to many painful conditions including headaches/migraines, back and neck pain, knee pain, sciatica, sports injuries and body trauma from accidents to name just a few. Chiropractors treat all demographics including babies, infants, adults, athletes and the elderly.
Doctors of Chiropractic are practitioners who place an emphasis on diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disorders of the neuromusculoskeletal system and the effects of these disorders on general health. The neuromusculoskeletal is the interaction between nerves, muscles and the skeleton. An improved nerve system means that the body becomes better equipped to heal effectively.
Most of the time throughout our lives people suffer from the effects of physical stresses and strains. Holding weights that are too heavy and for too long definitely weakens our muscles and ligaments and causes wear and tear of the spine and joints. Left undiagnosed and not corrected leads to a miserable existence of pain and stiffness causing many of us to give up the physical things we enjoy.
In 2014 statistics revealed that Australians spend 600 million dollars a year on targeted pain relief. Where were the target you may ask? The back and neck. Why are these areas the most affected by pain? Basically the design of our spines means that they are extremely prone to wear and tear due to excessive loads and poor understanding of the the limitations of our bodies.
