X-ray images are an important diagnostic tool that helps us to identify dental decay, bone loss, infection. The OPG (extra oral x-ray or panoramic) gives a dentist an overview of the general structure of the facial skeleton and the presence and location of teeth. At Smile Ville we use digital X-rays, which have a very low radiation dose.
The treated tooth can remain in the mouth as long as the inside of the tooth (the root canal) is cleaned, sterile and sealed. Molars generally have multiple canals, whilst incisors can have just one canal. Treated teeth often need to be reinforced with a crown to prevent fracture following treatment.

So incredibly thankful for the whole team at Smile Ville, the clinic is always so clean and inviting. A special mention to Jess (one of the dentists) and Monica (practice manager) who are so caring and patient with me throughout all of my visits. I put off going to the dentist for a long time from being scared of the discomfort/pain as well as being worried that the work done would be out of my price range but I never will again since finding this amazing clinic. 💕
