These are the plants designed for Australia! Australian native plants can thrive in a range of different climates and situations including frost, dry gardens, wet areas, full sun or shady areas. They can also produce stunning flowers and fruits that feed native birds and bees. Nielsen's Native Nursery has the exotic plant species that will thrive in gardens throughout South East Queensland. From winters that bite to the humid heat of the summers, we have gathered together the exotic plants best suited for the region's conditions. As we only display some of our range online, visit our store in person to see what exotic species we can offer for your garden.

On arriving my family and I were browsing the shop. I turned around to see the distinguished female cashier, gesturing towards our direction, to the middle aged male worker. He looked myself up and down then steered at my husband then back at me, while I asked for assistance. He blankly steered at me and then continued to steer at my husband and I proceeded to ask if it was ok I ask for assistance. I am not sure if our physical appearance intimidated the cashier and then worker? But, it made me feel super awkward and judged. Excellent, as usual. Lovely breakfast, tasty and plentiful. Bought mulch, dwarf flowering gum tree and old style windmill for a garden where our Kelpie of 12 years was recently buried. Tree and windmill added to the other native plants recently purchased for the garden from this nursery. Thanks Nielsen's.

Easy parking close to entry. Huge variety of native plants, herbs, statues, soil...lots for sale. Very friendly staff in each section. Lorekeets Cafè exceptional food & coffee with reasonable prices & very nice area to sit on the deck. Beautiful fish in the aquarium & so peaceful just walking around in general. Can easily spend half a day there 😊

Googled up place to spend my weekend with my hubby, every week we lookin' for a new place to explore and Nielsen's caught my eye, its a combo happiness for me, foods and plants!! Grab the foods and explore the yard afterward. Great place to take ur little one or ur elderly parents or grandpa/ma for cuppa and meals.

Neilsen’s Nursery is a top class nursery with good quality plants set in an idyllic environment. It is well presented with clear signage r the plant groups and stating the features of each group. The arrangement is easy to follow and there is a large variety. The staff are very helpful and service oriented. Highly recommend this nursery for a relaxing and fulfilling shopping experience.
