Master Locksmiths Association Of Australia
This site is administered by the Master Locksmiths Association of Australasia Ltd (MLAA) on behalf of over 700 locksmithing companies in Australia and New Zealand who are Business Members of the MLAA. This site allows the public to access our network of qualified professional locksmiths, and to find valuable information on how to secure the things that are important to them.

To ensure consumers engage the services of a professional locksmith with the skills required to perform the highest quality of work, all MLAA Master Locksmiths must be fully qualified. In addition, they must also be police-checked, or hold a security licence or registration. This provides consumers with the peace of mind and the confidence that the locksmith has the necessary skills, and can be trusted.
Services
Master Locksmiths are trade qualified, registered, licenced / police checked, and fully insured. For your peace of mind, make sure your locksmith is a Master Locksmith. What are the best and most secure locking solutions for AirBnB or other short term accommodation hosts? Combination locks, key safes or electronic locks?
While this may be obvious, it is often overlooked. Deadlocks and window locks operated with a key not only make it much harder to break into the home but also can prevent an easy exit, making it harder for burglars to remove large items from your home.

Remember, don't make it easy for criminals - don't keep a spare house key under the front doormat, over the top of the door, in the mail or metre box, under a fake stone or in the nearby garden bed.Sheds and garages are inviting to thieves as they are seldom used or locked. If you can possibly avoid it, do not use a shed to store valuable items.
Certainly, they still cut keys and fix locks; however, they offer a wide range of security services for the residential, commercial, industrial, automotive, health, educational and government sectors, including electronic access control, electronic lock, home automation, CCTV, alarms, security systems safes and vaults, and automotive locksmithing services including the latest transponder keys.
Not all tradespersons who advertise themselves as locksmiths are qualified, insured or police-checked. Master Locksmiths are highly skilled, trade qualified professionals. For a business to become a Member of the Master Locksmiths Association, it must employ trade qualified persons who have been police-checked.
The Master Locksmiths Access Key (MLAK) system is an MLAA initiative that allows people with disability access to dedicated public facilities, including facilities in National Parks and many Council municipalities, elevators at railway stations, the new Changing Places facilities throughout Australia, disabled toilets that are locked, and even the Liberty Swing.

DO NOT CALL, ASK FOR A SERVICE CALL OR THINK YOU WILL GET SERVICE IF YOU "HAVE NOT BEEN VACCINATED"....NO EXCEPTIONS.
MASKS ARE NOT ACCEPTED. Do NOT approach the owner unless you wish to be called stupid for your choices and denied service.

Norma is obviously a master craftsperson at her trade. But more importantly she actually cares about your problem and pulls out all the stops to help you. Its old fashion service that is near impossible to find these days. She was the only locksmith I called that actually sounded like she knew exactly what the problem was with my ignition key issue and called back many times to update me on how the repair was going. Even after the repair was done, she called a week later to see if things were ok. I can't say enough good things about her, the advice she gave, the explanation of work performed and

Called about 6 or 8 other places for rekeying service but they would only offer call out service, charging you a minimum of about $80. Some wanted $160. And that was just to get them there.
This person will let you come to them or they will come to you.
Prices were the best I found and they knew what they were doing.

She sprayed some oil in the key ignition to make it smoother but all it did was make it harder to turn my car on .Why do I need a key that won't unlock or turn my car on waste of time and effort #theives Canadian Tire and part source don't even let you buy the key if it doesn't work. Awful experience. Dropped off a piece for my bike rack 2.5 weeks ago because I lost the key. Was told initially it wouldn't take long, a couple days. Got a call a couple days later saying that they need more time with the lock. Fine, no big deal. Another week goes by, call them again. They ask when we need the lock by. We say by the end of the week because we are leaving the province, they tell us that shouldn't be a problem. We go into the shop to pick up the piece and we are told that the locksmith took it home. They knew we needed it by today fixed or not and now I'm on my way to buy a new freaking
