Services
You can come in personally with your document on a USB drive, ready for printing and binding, or you can also use our online booking service to submit your thesis. Using this service records all of your printing details and forwards them to us via a simple format, eliminating the possibility of forgetting important information.
The options available with our soft bound books include a choice of front cover colour, back cover colour and spine colour. See the below palettes for the colour options available. Contact us for more for any questions, or for more information. All of our books hand-made using the same traditional methods we have used for nearly fifty years.
We can also recover dilapidated hard cover books. Period binding and restoration of old books can be costly, however since we use acid-free board, materials and adhesive, all of our books have a minimum shelf life of 300 years. Allbook Bindery can re-bind and re-cover both soft and hard cover books into a hard cover with gold or silver embossing of the title and author on the spine and cover.
Margins - Please leave a margin of approximately 35 - 40mm (3.5 - 4cm) on the binding (spine) side of the book. If your document is double-sided you need to adjust your margins to be mirrored and also check the position of page numbers and header/footer content. Thickness - 400 pages of 80gsm or 40mm (4cm) in thickness make the ideal thickness in a hard covered book.

Raleen and the team at Allbook Bindery are absolutely spectacular. I absolutely would give more than 5 stars if I could! They truly go above and beyond to ensure you get exactly what you want when it comes to your order, and are so incredibly friendly and upbeat when doing so; they practically held my hand through the typography process for printing, and for that I'm incredibly grateful!

Chris re-covered my old bible (torn, worn and well-loved with tattered home-made covers). He was happy to use material that I provided for the cover. I really appreciate the time he and his team took to explain the process of replacing the cover to me. I felt really valued and it was a very pleasant experience over all. I just received the finished book today, and I'm pleasantly surprised by the quality (and feel) of the handiwork (even though I had an idea of their work from other reviews). Ralleen and Chris (maybe other behind the scenes?) pulled out all the stops to make sure that my hard cover thesis was printed to standard and delivered on time. I was one of those hard customers who moved the goalposts and mad changes during the process and they were not phased at all, maintaining complete professionalism. I got served by three different staff as I came in a couple of times to ask questions and drop and pick up my soft bounded book. All the staff are quite professional and friendly. They were informative and showed me my options and that was great.

The guys at Allbook Bindery really make sure that you get the service you have asked for! I needed to submit my thesis urgently and got the best support ever. It took them just two days for binding and printing AND sending my thesis to Darwin, and the design of the hard cover and the print quality really met my expectations.

Allbook bindery owner really cares about customer service. Very approachable and kind manner to customers. Understands the sensitivity people have about their documents.
