Hidden Creek is an award winning Winery, Cafe and Vineyard, situated in the beautiful rugged high altitude hills of Queensland's Granite Belt at over 900 metres above sea level. Our estate has warm summers and bitterly cold winters. This climate, together with the arid granite rocky soils, draws similar comparisons to high regions close to the Mediterranean.
Hidden Creek wines are mostly small batch, and speak of their origin, an avatar of place so to speak. The character and taste of our wines comes from the intrinsic nature of our climate, sunshine, rain, geology, and soil-water relationship. They are made with attention to detail by award-winning winemaker Andy Williams who has an unwavering dedication to quality throughout the wine's journey.

Not only is the lady owner extremely rude, based on her responses to previous negative reviews, has no ability whatsoever to self-reflect and improve. If she was more receptive to feedback and changed her attitude, there would not be so many negative reviews confirming that many people have the same perception; that she is rude and should not be in hospitality! And yes, I am expecting the same spray that others have received when they have dared to share their opinion about their poor customer experience. Oh and I have concluded that the lady must be an owner because no one in their right mind

The best and most beautiful winery I’ve been to in Stanthorpe. The restaurant and cellar door are set around a picturesque lake and we were lucky enough to have a front seat. The wine flights and cheese/ham boards were great and the dessert is delicious. The wine itself is also fantastic. Such a lovely day spent there - recommend booking ahead as they book out early. We also stayed at the upper cottage on the property which was magical with its own vineyard just out the door and complete isolation from everything else. Was truly a special experience.

This was our pick as best winery in the region. Not only do they produce stunning wines, the hospitality is wonderful, the location peaceful, and i highly recommend a visit. The granite belt is known for its Italian heritage, and Andy Williams has championed Italian varietals, including Fiano and Vermentino. He has a new range of wines under the banner of Unsung Hero, with varietals most of us havent even heard of. eg Novello Lagrein.
Definitely put this place on your list of must visit, #hiddencreekwines, Number 1 on our list for the Granite Belt.

Sort of stumbled onto this little winery and cafe whilst looking for a decent place to eat. I've often not thought too highly of Granite Belt wines I admit but I'm proven happily wrong this time. The wine tasting, food, atmosphere, ambiance, staff (complete with pet dog, Tully) were all superb (okay, if I'm totally honest the Rose` wasn't but the rest were). Kris served us with great descriptions, a bit of history and story and humour and not the usual pompous waffle....so we ended up with a 3hr lunch with wines, dessert and even friendly birdlife! Strongly recommend Hidden Creek Winery!

Pepper (a lovely dog) will be the friendly host! Hidden Creek Cafe offers a casual lunch experience overlooking Hidden Creek vineyard. The winery is just off the New England Highway in Ballandean and visitors stop in for both the cafe and the cellar door, which offers a range of elegant white and red wines and a pink moscato that has proven to be a crowd favourite. The cafe offers dishes that can be perfectly paired with the estate's wines and the menu offers a broad array of Modern Australian cuisine.
