Minerva Natural Health & Fertility
You'll find lots of useful information and resources to support your health and wellbeing, as well as getting an idea about me and how I work. I am a naturopath, nutritionist, herbalist and registered nurse dedicated to supporting and facilitating good health and fertility. In addition to my clinical practice, I lecture in health and have developed course material and contributed to textbooks in both nursing and complementary health.

I believe in fabulous, real food and the effectiveness of clinical nutrition and herbal medicine. Being a registered nurse for over 30 years and a nutritionist and naturopath, I am able to use a combination of strategies and my broad experience to help you achieve lasting good health.
Services
I don't only eat biodynamic, organic food and drink mountain spring water direct from the source; I don't run, practice yoga and meditate an hour every day so don't worry, I won't expect you to.

My approach is to understand what is most important to you and what may be going on that is preventing you from achieving your goals (for example, fertility, pain-free periods, normal thyroid function, digestion that doesn't control your life or balanced moods).Once we understand the root cause for your health issues, I then work with you to develop the most effective and 'do-able' plan we can.
Preconception care is the ultimate preventative health care for the parents-to-be, the baby-to-be and possibly for several generations to follow. Whilst there has been an increase in the focus on nutrition in pregnancy and the first 2 years of the infant's life, we know that the health of offspring is determined well before sex and conception.
Pregnancy truly is an amazing phenomenon and hopefully you are able to enjoy it with minimal concerns, discomfort or anxiety. If it is your first pregnancy, you have taken a long time to conceive, have had previous pregnancy problems or loss, then your excitement may tip over into anxiety so it is especially important to have good support.
Women's reproductive health is dynamic with our needs and challenges changing across our lifespan, right from the first period to well after the last. I have been a women's health practitioner for over 20 years with qualifications and experience in both naturopathy and nursing and can assist with the gamut of reproductive health issues.
The gut is such an important part of our health and wellbeing that every time I start to write this I have to stop because I get carried away and look like I am about to write War and Peace. We now understand that the bacteria that live in our bowel are responsible for orchestrating many of the functions of the gut and that in turn affects how all of our body systems work.

I have never been to a health practitioner who took the time necessary to actually really listen, deeply, to what was going with my body, and how I was feeling. It was absolutely amazing. Thank you Jane for that, and for offering various ways that I could choose from to start to move forward. I felt so empowered.
