At Bushlands, we understand your pet would prefer to be with you night and day. Our role is to help your pet push through any anxiety and settle into the Bushlands dog and cat boarding routine until you return home. You can be assured the welfare of your pet during their time away from home is important to us.

It's why we do what we do! Please call us on (08) 9727 1347 or 0410 331 744 if the booking system indicates no availability for dog or cat boarding. Depending on the arrival and departure times of other pets, we may be able to accommodate your pet(s). Although we have 20 cat runs, we have just 8 large dog kennels, each suitable for 2 large, or 3 small dogs from the same family.

We have 8 large kennels (4.5 x 1.5 metres each) and provide a personal service for each dog that stays with us. Dogs are walked daily on lead for 30 minutes around our 40 hectare bushland property and also have time out in our grassed exercise areas with other dogs where compatible. We provide all food, bedding and toys, however we encourage owners to bring along something, such as a blanket or toy that smells like home.

Q: What is your minimum age for boarding a pet? A: Because cats and dogs under 4 months may not have had all their vaccinations yet, they are more vulnerable to catching airborne viruses and might not be able to easily fight them off. Therefore, our minimum age requirement is 4 months. Our advice is to board puppies and kittens at your veterinarian's clinic until they are fully immunised.

Fabulous setup for cats (& dogs too).
Very well fed & clean as.
Especially love the monitoring system and the inside to outside areas for them.
My cat will definitely stay here when she's in the area.

DO NOT LEAVE YOUR PETS WITH THESE PEOPLE!! They lost our beautiful cat. Left the door to our cats run open & he got out. They show no care or remorse that they have lost 1 of our family members 😡

Absolutely fabulous place! Clean, safe, well organised and outstanding care. No kennel stacking or overcrowding. After trying two other places down South, it was so lovely to have our puppy come home calm, relaxed and not sick. Couldn't be happier.

After having a previous bad experience with a local kennel, we felt very lucky to have found Bushlands Pet Retreat. The owners are very caring and professional and having a vet as one of the owners is a plus. We felt that our dog was happy and well cared on all the occasions that we picked him up. We would not hesitate to use their services again in the future.

I was very impressed with Bushlands Pet Retreat. Its just that......... A retreat for pets. Its always tough to tell how well your pets are looked after at kennels because you can't exactly ask them how their stay was! My dog was sized up and given a jacket upon arrival. His kennel was relatively large and there were toys in there for him to play with. When I picked him up he was a having a ball with Eddie (the dog from next door) in the exercise area and he was pooped which tells me he had plenty of exercise, and it wasn't just for show. The staff were great too. Highly recommend.

I 100% trust my dogs are in the best hands when they visit Bushlands.
They always look great when they come home and sometimes I have to convince my Border Collie to leave and come home.
Great set up in a wonderful bush setting. They are fed a healthy and balanced prime diet and have plenty of recreation time.
If I could give an extra star for awesomeness I totally would
