A typical modern household septic system consists of two round solid tanks. The first tank being the larger of the two, also known as the primary tank, which holds the majority of solids, sludge, paper, food scraps and soap/body fats etc. The secondary tank holds mainly sludge. Note: The solid tanks act as a filter to remove solids from the water which then flows through to the Soak well/Leach Drain.
If your Leachdrain/Soakwells are not draining away liquids as they were designed to do, due possibly to the holes becoming blocked and/or poor general condition of the Leachdrain/Soakwell. This will require you to contact a licensed plumber for quotes to replace or repair your Leachdrain/Soakwell. Before a plumber can repair your existing Leachdrain/Soakwell your system would require pumping out of the waste so that work can be carried out.
To get the most out of your system, educating yourself in regards to your Septic Tanks and the manner in which they operate is essential. The Septic Tank System is a "Filtering System", just like the fuel filter in your car, if it is not cleaned out it will eventually become clogged and stop working efficiently.
A Grease Arrestor is a square concrete holding tank that holds any fats and solid food waste that is put down your sink/s. The idea is that this unwanted waste is not to be put into the main deep sewerage lines or septic tank system because when fats get cold they form a solid mass, this can cause major problems such as blockages etc.

Allan & His crew from Dunny Doctor's , Mandurah are the best in the business. They recently completed servicing our home septic tanks under very trying conditions without fuss. Our septic tanks are positioned under our outdoor patio and the cleanliness they left after completion was outstanding. I highly recommend this company for all septic tank & leach drain servicing you require. After completion of works, dealing with Tammy & her office staff was also flawless. Well done guys.

I would not recommend. Quoted us incorrectly, overcharged and came out 3 times in total! We have a house and granny flat so septics were emptied in 2 separate visits within a month, quoted cheaper second visit but charged more than first visit. Also broke a water pipe and had to come back and fix. Also found out the price they mark on invoice that is payable for dumping fee is marked up a few hundred.
Very disappointed to say the least as we tried to support a local company and ended up being ripped off. On top of this they threatened to report us to the shire that are tanks aren’t up to standard
