At The Orthodontist, we provide individualised orthodontic treatment for all children and adults using various latest orthodontic technologies that are available today. After a thorough orthodontic assessment, your smile specialist will recommend the best orthodontic treatment option that is personalised to your needs.
It's best for the orthodontist to see children by age 7 to advise if orthodontic treatment is required and if it is the best time for that patient to be treated. The first permanent molars and incisors have usually come in by that time and crossbites, crowding, and other problems can be evaluated. Most children will need only a single step of full braces upon eruption of all adult teeth (average age 12).
Orthodontic treatment was historically associated with teenagers. In recent years, this is no longer true! Orthodontic treatment can be successful at any age, and adults especially appreciate the benefits of a beautiful, healthy smile. Today, an increasing number of adults are choosing to wear braces to straighten their teeth, improve their smiles and correct malocclusions (bad bites).
Early/Interceptive Orthodontic Treatment usually starts around the age of 7-9 where there is a mixture of adult and baby teeth. The main purpose of such treatment is to reduce or eliminate the developing orthodontic problem and reducing the need for treatment later on. Often this treatment will take advantage of the early growth spurt, taking a difficult orthodontic problem and making it into a more manageable one.

My daughter Georgia needed braces and Dr Con came highly recommended. We were booked in late Feb 2019 and all appointments before and during her time with braces were great. Even during Covid times, the staff were welcoming and professional and they had the upmost care for Georgia. Braces are never fun to deal with but Dr Con always made her feel at ease and smile whenever we saw him. Braces came off in June 2021 and the results are simply beautiful. Her smile speaks for itself. Would definitely recommend Dr Con to anyone needing orthodontic work.

Thank you to Dr Con for his patience and professionalism with my daughter. Each visit Dr Con and The Orthodontics Team was very clear in their communication. I would also like to give the reception staff a “big shout” out who managed to secure a date prior to my daughter’s 16th birthday to have the braces removed. They look amazing! I would recommend Dr Con and his staff without any hesitation to anybody looking to have orthodontic work, treatment and care.

Lovely, caring people that always try their best. Con is an amazing doctor and person and his work is of such high quality, he looks after you like he would his own children. Jade has technically been so professional and again her work is of a high standard, she has been so lovely to work with and has made the whole process so much easier. I was a complicated case that over 5 years and 40 dentists and surgeons - no one wanted to take a chance on. Dr Con however, did- he is amazing. I have MASSIVE results only part way through my treatment and is very kind and reassuring. All his staff are highly professional and friendly.
If I could illuminate 5 years of memories of poor treatment from other practices, I would - luckily I don’t have to resent the process of a beautiful smile anymore !!!!

I was a very nervous first timer to orthodontics in my early twenties... Dr Con and his team were not only reassuring and accommodating but supportive and professional. Over 20 years later I have now brought my eldest daughter to see Dr Con and his team for this same experience and also because I consider this team to be the best in the business when it comes to orthodontic care.
