Richmond Osteo Clinic is located on Burnley Street, has been operating in Richmond for almost 20 years. Our established practice has treated over 18000 patients with their lower back pain, neck and shoulder pain, headaches and migraines, sports injuries and management. Shoulder and neck pain is common as many of us work in office roles crouched over a computer for many hours a day.
With a reputation for treating "spinal" problems, Osteopaths are often over-looked when sports injuries occur. Osteopathy is an effective drug-free way of helping to reduce the incidence and severity of both headaches and migraines. Our Osteopaths can assist your muscles and joints to cope as the baby grows, making every-day life that little bit easier.

Osteopathy is a form of manual therapy, focusing on the treatment of pain and dysfunction of the musculo-skeletal system. We employ a "hands-on", holistic approach to treatment, identifying the cause of your pain and treating accordingly. We do not under estimate the body's ability to heal itself, but are aware that it sometimes needs a helping hand.

It's a common complaint usually arising from the joints, discs and muscles in the neck and upper back. The causes are many, but typically include an awkward sleep or sudden movement resulting in a "cricked" neck, chronic poor posture (ie at your desk!), whiplash of some kind or even a poor pillow. Often "put up with", neck and shoulder pain can be alleviated, making day to day living a lot more comfortable.
Brent graduated from Victoria University specialising in the diagnosis, management and treatment of neck and back pain, sports and work related injuries. He uses a wide variety of techniques including spinal joint manipulation and mobilisation, deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy, with an emphasis on treating the cause of the pain, not just the symptoms.

Daniel Surkitt is the consummate professional and I have experienced great confidence in him as he practises his craft of osteopathy. He has treated me now over approximately 4 years (and only for around 3 visits when I get into a bit of trouble!), and always with a plan and never with the notion of over treating in an attempt to maintain the control without some positive results. So far I have avoided surgery, and this time am optimistic as I follow his direction that I can manage things conservatively. I have no hesitation in recommending him.
