Bathurst Golf Club is the third-oldest club in New South Wales, with a rich history dating back to 1894. Surrounded by an oasis of green and enjoying views to the Blue Mountains, ours is a delightful location in which to enjoy a round of golf.

Our 18-hole championship course has played host to the New South Wales Open and is regarded as one of inland NSW's finest courses. The picturesque, treelined layout offers an invigorating test to players of all abilities, thrilling lifelong members and first-time visitors in equal measure. Juniors are positively encouraged and can dream of following in the footsteps of Bathurst legends Peter O'Malley and Gavin Coles.
Services
Bathurst Golf Club provides the perfect venue for your next function. We cater for all event types from conferences and business meetings to birthdays, christenings and anniversaries etc. The designated function area with floor to ceiling glass windows provides panoramic views of the fairways and mountains in the distance.
Saturday Morning and Tuesday afternoon training at our driving range is the starting point for new players wishing to learn the game. Matt Barrett our PGA Club Professional and other experienced staff and players are on hand to teach the fundamentals of golf. As the players progress in skill level they are invited to play on the course for nine holes of golf or less holes on a Sunday morning or Friday afternoon.
Bathurst Golf Centre offers a range of Group Golf Lesson options designed to introduce you to the game of golf in a relaxed and fun environment. Our program caters for mixed and women's groups as well as programs for juniors. Group Golf Lessons are a great way to have fun learning the game with friends, or a great way to meet new people with a similar interest.
Like many of the golf clubs in New South Wales, the Bathurst Golf Club is abundant with history and anecdotes associated with golf and the evolution of the sport. The book The History of the Bathurst Golf Club: Our first 100 years blends the rich history of Bathurst with golf itself.

Frank Farrugia takes the reader behind the scenes and not only gives them an interesting account of different aspects of club life but also an historical account of the early foundation members and pioneers. These include Doctors J Brooke Moore Snr and J Brooke Moore Jnr, Mr W Rankin, Mr J McPhillamy, and others.
Practice every day if possible. This can include just swinging the club at home and watching your reflection to embed the key points. Coaching will give you the best value for your improvement dollar, provided you follow up. Without follow-up practice and coaching reviews you will find it very hard to improve.

The course had 2 inches of rain overnight and at 11 am when we hit off it was well playable. We enjoyed playing the course even though the fairways are tight and a joy to play from if you can hit them. The clubhouse had a friendly, functional feel to it and we enjoyed our lunch. The chicken caesar would be improved with a freshly poached egg and a little less lettuce, but it was a pleasant meal.

HONESTLY... Bathurst Golf Club is BRILLIANT!
The hospitality I receive on ALL occassions, invites me back, eager for my next visit!
In the Pro Shop you've got Matt Barrett, Nathan, Dylan, Tim and James keeping things moving along, plus the young ones keeping the carts smick and shining. Now, I am getting back into golf after a 25 year absence, and it's a different game! Yet, me... Probably or more than a pain at times... Have been WELCOMED back to the game by Matt and his amazing staff!
Then, you go upstairs to the club and you are welcomed like you matter!

The experience started of a bit rough but they redeemed themselves very well! The chef did say he'd be unable to serve us for 15 mins which we weren't to fussed about. The food took a while but the wait was well worth it! The food was beautiful and it was a great feed after a beautiful hit of golf! The chef apologised to us for earlier on and was very polite! Definitely recommend these guys if you're a local or a golfer on tour.

Tough day on the course but worthy of a day out. Greens were the winner. Difficult to read but rewarding if willing. Good facilities for the discerning mind. Actually won the NSW Country Club of the year. Don't ask why!
