Cairns Hand Clinic is a locally owned and operated therapy service devoted to patients with hand, wrist or elbow conditions (known collectively as the upper limb). Our Hand Therapy team consists of Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists trained in the assessment and treatment of patients following injury, illness or surgery.

Services
Cairns Hand Clinic is a locally owned and operated therapy service for people with hand, wrist and elbow injuries. Since it's establishment in 2008, Cairns Hand Clinic has offered expert care to patients both young and old living in Cairns and the surrounding communities of Far North Queensland. Our team are experienced in treating patients of all ages and across a broad range of industries and sporting groups.
Our Hand Therapy team are dedicated to the study and practice of Hand and Upper Limb (HUL) Rehabilitation. At a minimum, each Hand Therapist holds an Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy university degree, is engaged in rigorous professional development specific to HUL Rehabilitation and is committed to robust, evidence-based practice.
You will need a referral from your treating Doctor (GP or Specialist) or Allied Health Care Provider (Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist) to see one of our Hand Therapists. Your referral will be reviewed and triaged by our team, and an appointment will be arranged for the relevant service such as in rooms Hand Therapy consultation with OT/PT (standard or extended length appointment), hospital and home visits.
