Hello there, I'm Dr Milan, the proud owner of The Disc Doctor in Liverpool. I am a Chiropractor, Spinal Decompression Practitioner, father, charity worker and sports enthusiast. €śYou have arthritis and I need you to see an Orthopaedic Surgeon” was what my GP said after seeing my CT scans. No-one wants to be diagnosed with this, especially when you’re only 42. The medical term was “L5-S1 left paracentral posterior disc protrusion with degeneration.”
I started to have pain in my lower back that would spread down my left leg, the pain was so unbearable that I didn’t want to get out of bed in the morning. Just walking to the bathroom would set the pain off and it would get worse throughout the day.

I came to see Dr Milan as I had considerable back pain after I injured my back and knees in an accident. Because of the condition of my back this created additional problems with my knees.
I was struggling to take a few steps and could not bend over or do barely any activities. I was housebound. It was quite horrendous.
My Dr, Physiotherapist and Osteopath were not helping.
I had LS-S4 postero central disc protrusion and disc degeneration, plus L4-5 dis bulge and disc degeneration as well as a L3-4 disc bulge.
After having a comprehensive initial consultation with Dr Milan I found out that

In Dec 2020 I had an episode of lower back pain while cleaning up my garage. I have had a broadbased disc bulge on L4 L5 some 22 years ago which has caused lower back pain when I have subjected myself to heavy activity, but it always went away with normal physio, massage or chiropractic manipulation in a few sessions.
This time it was different. The normal chiropractic manipulation and massages did not work and the pain worsened to the extent that I was finding it hard to walk a few steps, sitting in the car, or even standing upright for a a few minutes. This made me think of looking for alternatives

In April 2019, was diagnosed with L4/S1 and L5 /S1 disc bulges with nerve compression. I had severe pain in my lower back and shooting pain down my left leg. The pain was so severe that wasn't able to walk or sit and ended up immobile in bed for months

I first met Dr Milan for a lower back injury. He provided excellent treatment and advice on maintaining good back health. Since then I have suffered a work place injury to my neck C6- C7 disc protrusion with C7 root nerve compression. I was in excruciating pain and numbness running down my left arm. I came into see Dr Milan with four disc bulges in my lower back. I was in a lot of pain, the cortisone injections didn’t work, the physiotherapist didn’t work. Surgery was not an option due to my other health issues and I was deemed too high risk.

When I first started the program, I had never heard of it before so I was unsure of what to expect but i was keen to give it a go. I have always had some form of neck pain and associated pinched nerves. The last time this happened I went to my GP who prescribed a strong anti-inflammatory and an MRI. I was in a great deal of pain and when the medication was not having any impact I rang The Disc Doctor in Liverpool. It was a Saturday and I felt desperate.
