I use Dave at DM marine for the majority of work needed and when it came time for the gearbox recondition I sent it to him from Melb the cost of $100 shipping to and from was a bargain for the quality of work, his expertise and extreme no nonsense finished work. He does all work by the book and uses only high end parts. He gives you options and follows up after your purchase to ensure you are comfortable with your purchase and that he is reachable which is a big factor for me when spending significant amounts of money. Dave is a fantastic no nonsense operator. I had my gearbox back in my possession

I recently had my boat motor serviced with DM Marine. I found Dave by chance, but i am glad i did as i will not send my boat anywhere else. He was clear, contactable and kept me up to date throughout my boat motor service and i couldn't recommend him high enough. He provides more than just engine servicing as i also plan to make some modifications to my boat, he is also able to do them!

I contacted Dave out of the blue with a request for a small fuel tank for a caravan diesel heater. Having just returned from holidays he had a backlog of work, and even though this wasn't the biggest of jobs, he was more than happy to spend time with me talking through my plans and giving me a time frame for the work.
When time came for Dave to start work (sooner than expected too), he gave me a call to confirm all dimensions and placement of fittings. I made a small change at this time, which was no problem for him to accommodate. The job was completed and ready for pickup the following day.
