Writer and mother of two, Colleen Sheehan founded Weeding Women in 1989. Her idea sprouted from the frustration of not being able to find a good gardener to help her at home. They were so slow! I got so frustrated I decided to finish it off myself, paid a couple of female friends to help me, and we did a great job in no time.
That was the birth of Weeding Women. Her team of gardeners grew from two to 20 in a fortnight. The business quickly blossomed - literally from the ground up - to become an iconic West Australian brand. As a family owned and operated business, the core values of Weeding Women have been the same since its inception.

A big positive and thank you to the staff at Weeding Women who work in our garden. They have been providing us with an excellent service, once every two months for nearly three years now. We have a very large garden. They always do an excellent job and leave the garden looking beautiful. The well maintained garden adds value to our much loved home, as well as great enjoyment and pleasure. Thank you Weeding Women.

Although the actual gardening ladies that attended my property were lovely, I will NEVER deal with Diana, the franchisee, again. Having emailed her twice to confirm that 2 ladies for 2 hours work would be a total of $143, when the 2 ladies arrived they were only able to stay for 1 hour and it was still going to cost me $143. That's $71.50 an hour!!! Ridiculously overpriced! This is after I had to continually chase her for 3 days for an arrival time on the scheduled day. Finally she replied mid-morning on the day saying that she would call me an hour before the ladies would arrive. This is not acceptable

Whilst I’ve always been very happy with the quality of work done by the Mt Lawley team, they don’t remove the green waste from your property, they don’t do lawns, and the hassle making an appointment has made me switch to another gardening service. When you ring Weeding Women you are put through to an answering service then you have to wait for bookings to call you back. Sometimes it can take a full day just to make an appointment. Ridiculous.

Weeding Women provide excellent service and friendly, professional workers. I had Weeding Women Fremantle come to my house and they were there on time, every time. The workers are so well presented, friendly, and hard working. My garden has come back to life thanks to Weeding Women Fremantle, and they make it super easy to relax in my beautiful garden. I have to say, they're not the cheapest gardening service around, but it's definitely worth the extra money to have everything so well done. For example, they pull weeds out by the roots so they don't grow back, take time and care to pot plants to
