Services
We service all makes of car to log book specifications to ensure that your warranty is never void and that you are back on the road in no time. Please let us know when you enquire that you would like a log book service. We can perform major and minor services on your car which can include engine oil replacement, oil filter replacement, spark plugs, battery testing, fuel and air filters and more.
If more than half your journeys take fewer than 20km, you should change your oil every 5-7000km. There is a section in your handbook wide range of conditions where 10,000km oil changes do not apply. This can include, but is not limited to, dusty conditions, heavy loads, sustained high speeds, frequent short trips, stopstart driving and towing.
Did you know that we can do new car servicing without voiding your manufacturers warranty? We can perform new car servicing on all makes and models of vehicles. You don't need to have your car serviced by your dealer to maintain that new car warranty. A Platinum Automotives service strictly follows all the procedures recommended by your vehicles manufacturer.
A distributor is operated by engine rotation via gearing on the crank or camshaft. As the engines RPM increases the distributors rotation speed will also increase and weights inside the distributor assembly will move outwards assisted by centrifugal force. The rate in which the weights move outwards is what is classified as the distributors curve.

I used Platinum Automotives after seeing their good Google reviews and was not disappointed. I had a yellow sticker on my fourbie - i fixed the items and then took it to Platinum for an inspection (which they did while I waited). Fantastic service. I had a few hicups with my car the day after getting it serviced but the guys at Platinum went above and beyond with getting my car sorted and going quickly. Price for a log book service was very reasonable definitely cheaper than a dealership service. Highly recommended. Thankyou

The guys are amazing. I've been to them for a roadworthy, I was in and out really quickly, the guys where up front with the costs. I also went in today as my wiper blade jets where not working. I was originally quoted at the dealership where I was given a huge price 'just to find the problem. When I spoke to Platinum Automotives about the issue I had they booked me in, took a look and fixed the block. The price was beyond amazing. My mouth hit the floor when I found out my small charge. They now have my business each time my car needs a service or there's a problem. They where super helpful and
