Skillful management of the planning application and approval process produces results: DM Planning have handled over 500 projects in north Queensland and are proud to be able to say we have not had one DA finally refused. The project incorporates in 7 levels containing eight "4.5 star" apartments, one penthouse and three commercial suites with mezzanine floors. It forms stage 1 of a 3 stage development. The elevation and roof are heaverly articulated and display strong 3 dimensional qualities which is considered necessary as the project is free standing and will establish a precedent in this precinct of Palmer Street.
The CBD task force led the development of the Townsville CBD masterplan and amongst its "city making" recommendations was the development of an enhanced "pedestrian friendly" series of links from The Strand beach front through to the Palmer Street entertainment precinct in South Townsville.
DMQ were tasked with the development of concepts which incorporated the Tomlins Street and Plume Street precincts at South Townsville, a pedestrian connection across a foot bridge over Ross Creek, through to the Flinders Street East precinct, the Wickham Street precinct through to The Strand, Anzac Park and Tobruk Pool precincts.
