Meating Room
Meating Room was founded to lift the dining and bar game in Canberra, not only turning a noun into a verb, but offering a huge selection of food choices for breakfast, lunch & dinner with quality coffee, craft beers on tap and a family friendly environment.

Co-owners Robii Khalil, Hamish Walker and Phillip Sacksady have teamed up to breathe new life into the space previously occupied by Western Basement turning it into finessed fit-out into an earthy contemporary look punctuated by bold primary colours and the odd splash of graffiti and stencil art.

Great casual meeting spot for coffee, drinks, nibbles. Cauliflower Wings are delicious!!! Plenty of easy parking across the road in Cooleman Court shopping centre.

I came here for lunch on a Sunday and there were some good seats available. Service is fast, and very professional and friendly. Reasonably priced food (for canberra😉) and it was really tasty!

Came here for a work lunch, our table ordered a mix of reuben sandwiches, the spring salad and the special chicken main. From all accounts, all dishes were enjoyable and could not be faltered. However it did take a while for the food to arrive, so recommend taking an extra long lunch to come here!

Great local joint with good food and excellent beer on tap. Atmosphere is great usually with sport on a few different screens. I miss the blue cheese burger though

Food was good, my burger was tasty and juicy and very filling, cauilflower "wings" were interesting but the sauce was good. Good range of beers, mostly crafties, freindly staff. Was popular as a lot of tables were booked and there were some big groups enjoying the space

I visited on a Saturday morning for breakfast. The coffee and breakfast were nice. I had the Meating B&E roll and a cappuccino. For $7 I also tried the salted caramel and pretzel shake, which was disappointing in every way. Too small, presentation was lacking and the pretzels were quite roughly blended up in the shake, making for a bit of a gravelly drink.
The staff don't seem to pay enough attention to the tables. Almost all the empty tables were filthy when I went in this morning, and it took a long time to get somebody's attention to clean one off. You have to order at the bar and get your
