Services
Pakenham Family Health is the leading Pakenham medical centre, providing quality bulk billed service for individuals and families. Having opened doors in 2010 we have earned the trust of over 30,000 patients through commitment to long term continuity of patient care. Over the years we have steadily grown to become the largest medical centre in Pakenham, attracting quality doctors from nearby areas and farther afield.
Women's Health is a major area of focus at Pakenham Family Health because we believe that women are the backbone of every society. As such they tend to put everyone's needs first, often forgetting to look after themselves and their health, as well as their mental well being. We are here ready to listen, here to guide you and council you, to celebrate wonderful moments in your life and to support you during the difficult times.
At Pakenham Family Health we understand that when it comes to prevention and early detection men's health often takes the back seat. Men are more likely to put off routine checkups and also delay seeing a Doctor for symptoms of a health problem. Working-aged men are less likely to have a regular doctor compared to working-aged women.
Children's health is one of the key areas of care we offer here at Pakenham Family Health. Young children tend to fall sick more often than adults and this is due to the fact that they are building their immune systems. Often, there is no reason to worry, however, we encourage parents to trust their instincts and make an appointment with their GP if they have any concerns.
Mental health is just as important as physical health. Psychological issues are common today. It is important to recognise that most people can recover fully, especially when they receive help early. Some may need more time and require ongoing treatment to manage the issues they are experiencing.

If you are experiencing issues or concerns about your mental wellbeing, you might be eligible for a Mental Health Plan (MHP) which can help you get appropriate support and treatment.MHP helps you to access eligible allied health professionals like psychologists, social workers or occupational therapists who can help you to get better.

I've been seeing my doctor here for 5 years, and she's great. She takes the time to get to know you and your family, and sometimes there has been a bit of a wait, but it's worth it because I know she's providing a personal service. I live further away, but continue to çome here for the personal and quality service. Thànks.

TERRIBLE, UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE!!!!
I rang and made an appointment for my partner at 8:30am (the second they opened). They weren’t taking face to face appointments only phone appointments, which was made for 1:50pm.
Doctor called at 1:57pm and my partner missed the call but he called back at 2:01pm, receptionist said she will get doctor to call back. 4pm and no returned call, I rang them back to be told we tried to ring you at your appointment time but no one answered (yes that correct and we were told the doc would call back).
5pm still haven’t heard anything, rang them again to be told

This is the worst experience I've ever had with GPs. They only accept telehealth for initial consultation which is ok. But The doctor was very impatient And rude.
She said my symptom need to be seen face to face. And keep speaking without a break like she's rushing to end the call. I just asked if she can slow down a bit so i can Then sort out what is required from my previous GP And what they require from me before i make an f2f appt. Then she told me directly she doesn't have time for me. If I'm not happy go to other GPs.
No duty of care at all.
Not recommend

Wouldn’t recommend visiting. Just called up to book a COVID vaccine and got refused because I was a new patient and they are only treating their own… wow. Here I thought we were part of a community and to move forward we all need to get vaccinated. Absolutely appalled at the service I got from the receptionist. If those are the discriminating policies they have in place … I’ll happily go elsewhere.

I've been in the waiting room for over half an hour and people that were here after me has been gone before me. Not sure if it depends on the doctor you're seeing but I'm still upset.

This is for all the doctors working here. Especially kapadia.
Please stop prescribing antibiotics as if it is going out of fashion. You only prescribe it for bacterial infection. Nothing else. When I hear them saying, oh it's as a precaution after being questioned why.
Precaution for what? You the doctor not being able to identify a bacterial sickness or more like a precaution so you get the money from big pharma so you can keep driving a mercedes. Ever heard of antibiotics resistance????? Once resistant and having a real bacterial infection that means patient going to die as Nothing else in

Dr Anis is amazing . But the receptionist who answered the phone didn’t want to take my appointment. I really don’t understand why medical centre receptionists behave like they are beyond doctors..

I had booked an appointment for 1:30pm and arrived in time. The reception staff were polite and pleasant and the waiting room quiet, but I then had to wait for 55 minutes to be seen. I explained my situation, and the doctor I saw listened for 30 seconds before brushing over my request and directing me down a line of treatment that did not address my concern. I tried for the next 5 minutes to explain myself further but was interrupted repeatedly and eventually told to ask another GP for what I need. I left the clinic and burst into tears in the car park. I respect a doctors role is to advise treatment

Failed to get in contact with me in regards to cancelling my appointment. I had been waiting an hour for the doctor to contact me and this did not happen! They knew she wouldn’t be in and still failed to contact her patients or cancel their appointments or even offer to reschedule them.
The receptionist are always so rude and bland! When I was in on the 9/2/21 with my daughter for her immunisations an elderly man came in and the receptionist refused to help him when he was clearly confused about where his appointment was and what day. The pathologist actually came out and helped the elderly
