He learnt the specialist trade in Ireland & has carried on this work by establishing his Heritage Solid Plastering business in Australia. He is endlessly interested in traditional building techniques such as lime mortars & plasters. Passionate that those traditions continue being passed on.

Salt damp (rising damp) occurs when moisture is drawn up from the soil under a stone (or brick) wall. The water carries with it salts that over time compromise the strength & integrity of the stone. There are sometimes water marks & or a white powdery residue on the surface of effected areas, usually isolated to the lower sections of walls.

Ross has carried out work for me over the last few years, I have found. Him to be very professional and can be left unsupervised and carries out quality work at a reasonable price plus when work is carried out with the client in the house he works well with the client. I say this as a builder with over 50 years in the business and still enjoying it
