Bob Keane is a qualified Dental Prosthetist and Dental Technician with over 40 years experience in making Full and Partial Dentures as well as Custom Mouthguards for all types of contact sports. Bob is registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency and he is also a member of the Australian Dental Prosthetists Association.
A Dental Prosthetist is a dental practitioner who has firstly completed extensive training to become a dental technician, who carries out work, referred by a Dentist. Finally after another two years of intense training is registered to consult with patients directly. A Dental Prosthetist is registered to undertake the manufacture of complete dentures, partial dentures and mouthguards.
Dentures are an artificial appliance and you will need time to adapt to them because wearing dentures is a learned process, not an instinct with which we are born. Dentures should be replaced approximately every 7 years and, just as with natural teeth, must be regularly serviced and maintained in order to achieve that lifespan.
We also manufacture Customised Mouthguards for all types of contact sports, including Boxing and Mixed Martial Arts. It is vitally important to protect teeth against impact and in the long run is far cheaper than having to replace a tooth or teeth due to sports injury. Our Mouthguards come in a multitude of colours, ranging from single, bi-colour, tri-colour, Harlequin right through to the new Multi-Colour 3D.
