Shark Bay is brimming with a huge variety of wildlife. All year round there are dolphins, dugongs and huge loggerhead and green turtles. In the warmer months they're joined by sea snakes, sharks (our largest a 4.5 metre tiger shark), stingrays, flying fish and the weird long tom, a fish that skips across the sea.

The best way to see this magnificent variety is on a superb cruise with Australia's only purist wildlife sailing specialist, 'Wildsights Cruises' aboard Monkey Mia's nature boat, the internationally famous, awesome, 60'(18m) sailing catamaran, Shotover (yes there's a toilet on board). You can laze about and relax, or join in the fun of helping sail one of Australia's ocean racing legends.
Services
Our story begins in the mid-sixties of last century, with the founder of our business, Harvey Raven. Harvey began sailing and discovering marine animals in his early teens. He first learnt about dugong (sea-cows) as a 15 year old circumnavigating an island in a small sailing dinghy in Moreton Bay (Brisbane - Queensland).
Born in Holland, raised in Australia, he speaks Dutch and has a seafaring ancestry dating back to 1592. A former Queenslander, he is our senior skipper and the Boss. An offshore Yachtmaster Instructor with over 50 years sailing experience, 20 years of ocean racing (usually aboard the winner) and many international voyages, he's one of Australia's most experienced catamaran skippers.
Our customer CARE policy requires that "You must leave us with a smile on your dial" and this is what stands behind it: "Love it, or it's free!" A totally unconditional, no-questions-asked, 100% money-back guarantee on everything you do with us. Any fare paying passenger who gets physically sick on a cruise gets $100 in soft warm cash (the only proviso is no fingers in the throat).
A fair dinkum off-road tour in a luxury 4WD, where the outback meets the coast with a knock out contrast. Be wowed by the spectacular Francois Peron Peninsula National Park in the unique Shark Bay World Heritage Area. Only great photos are possible. Guaranteed. Highly personalised, limited to 6 guests.
Shark Bay is one of approximately 200 Natural World Heritage Areas - unique places on our planet with exceptional natural values. In fact, only 16 areas in the world satisfy all four of the World Heritage listing criteria, and Shark Bay is one of these rare and special places. It ranks in significance alongside the Galapagos Islands, Grand Canyon, Yellowstone Park and Great Barrier Reef.

We went on this tour today and it was the highlight of our 6 months so far trip. Quinn and Kate are BRILLIANT.
They found lots of dugongs inc babies, right life whales and baby, loggerheads and dolphins.
Seriously couldn't believe the effort they put in to make the trip perfect.
Thankyou so much and to anyone reading this book with this company , you won't be disappointed.

We also went on the Aristocat 2 but this one is heaps better!
Went on the animal tour twice and the first time we saw heaps of dugons, a manta ray, turtles, dolphins, a baby shark and loads of other marine life. The second time we saw not as many animals but we got to jump of and swim around the boat in crystal clear water which was loads of fun. This is a must do at monkey mia. The staff are very friendly and educated, they can tell you anything about any animal!

We had such a lovely time on the sun set cruise. We only wish we had booked the full day cruise. The children had a fabulous time and my four year old chatted to the captain the whole time, he was so kind and answered all 350 questions Liam had. We cant wait to head back to Monkey Mia to book a full day cruise.

We did the sunset cruise then the following day we went out and saw some dolphins and a couple of Dugongs. The crew was very friendly and quite interesting to chat with. We had a great time and would definitely recommend it.

I don't really know how else to explain this cruise other than WOW!! After we had finished breakfast at the restaurant we were planning on spending the day in the pool at the resort until we saw the Shotover stationed next to the jetty with a big banner up on the back which caught our eye. We are so glad we investigated a little further and spoke to both Toby and Quinn, who are extremely knowledgable and very approachable and we booked the cruise. We saw a HUGE tiger shark lurking in the shallows and got some incredible footage of it. We saw lots of stingrays, turtles, dolphins, and a lot of dugong

Loved the dolphins. You have to pay 12 AUD to watch wild dolphins. But these wild animals doesn't have a clock because they show always late. No need to fired them but maybe issue a warning :)

Our cruise was really disappointing, we spotted only a couple of turtles, but no Dugongs at all....
The visit to the pearl farm is informative, but not the main reason why we went on that particular cruise - and not a justification for paying a 100 AUD for the trip...!
