Services
We have steadily grown in stature to become Adelaide's leading independent supplier to the market. We supply to the domestic, commercial and industrial markets, and specialise in supply to the technically demanding pre-cast market, for which South Australia is highly regarded. Hallett Concrete commenced business in 1980.
This year, 2019, Andy will be celebrating 33 years of service with Hallett Concrete. Andy has not only been our longest-term employee but he has been involved from the start contributing greatly to the growth and changes that have occurred within the Pickard/MSP businesses.
My first job was working for a company called Shell Mainstyle who sold and installed car accessories and also had a Shell service station on the corner of Gray St. and North Terrace Adelaide, where the current Fairmont Homes building is.During my time there I was offered an apprenticeship at a company called Blakistons, a Geelong based transport company working out of Gillman.

All of our concrete plants are able to supply a wide range of premixed concrete for a variety of applications. We provide 20 & 25 MPa concrete for use primarily in residential slabs, footings, driveways and paths and 32 & 40 MPa or higher strength concrete which is primarily used for industrial jobs where a greater resistance to loading and trafficking is required.
In addition to providing regular pre-mixed concrete to the domestic, commercial and industrial markets we also have a wide range of decorative concrete mixes. The range of aggregates from our own quarries together with those we are able to source, enable us to match most common designs as well as create some solutions which can be tailored to meet a customer's individual need.
Due to the installation of our concrete reclaimer, after the current stockpiles of concrete blocks are depleted, we will only be making concrete blocks on an ordered basis. Concrete blocks made to order are cast with tongue and groove such that they can easily fit next to each other and lock into place.

Driver (Paul B.) was very friendly, attentive, cooperative and assisted us with all our needs. A pleasant change compared to previous deliveries with other companies, where the driver was inattentive and distracted by phone.
It was a fiddly job inside a carport/shed but he was more than willing to assist to make it as easy as possible, repositioning the truck a couple of times. What I was most impressed about was his approach to my 3 young son's and niece, who were fascinated and eager to help wheelbarrow the concrete.
Despite their enthusiasm they were in the way and it would have been all too
