Take a moment to meet our team and our own pets. Arlette is the practice owner and the main veterinarian at the practice. Her true passion is making every one of her patients' lives better.
Emergencies can happen suddenly and without warning. The first step is to call our number and either speak to us about what to do for first aid or, if after hours, the answering machine will give you an emergency number you can call for advice. The person on the phone will ask you what is happening to your pet, and give you instructions if you need to do any first aid before heading down to our hospital or to the emergency centre.
Deciding whether or not to have your pet desexed or sterilised is a big decision and one we do not expect you to necessarily take lightly. However, at Bakers Hill Veterinary Hospital, we firmly believe that sterilisation is not only good for your pet's health, it is essential if you want to avoid certain health risks and/or potential behavioural problems.
Dentistry is a rapidly growing area of veterinary science. We have seen a greater awareness over the last 25 years of its importance to the overall health of the animals we treat. Alarmingly, 80% of dogs and 70% of cats suffer from some form of dental disease by the age of three. Just like humans, pets' teeth need looking after too!
Orthopaedic surgery encompasses any surgery that is related to bones or joints. It includes procedures such as fracture repairs, ligament repairs and spinal surgery to name a few. Some procedures can be done at Bakers Hill Veterinary Hospital, but for some of the more complicated or specialised procedures, we will recommend a specialist surgeon at one of the referral centres in Perth.

After only just moving to Bakers Hill my 16 year old Sausage dog "Sausage" became ill. I took him to the Vet and all i can say is WOW..The care and love my boy received which then carried on into the evening was second to none. My heart broke as i had to say goodbye to my little man but such a warmth as our Family was made to feel so special and safe as he left us with such dignity. Thankyou to everyone at Bakers Hill Vet you have truly warmed our hearts xx

Had a recent situation with our family pet who was old infirmed and very unwell. The staff were amazing. Caring and compassionate and advised us of the options available to us and our beloved pet.
