Fellowed GP required for a permanent role in Melbourne's Northern Suburbs VIC 75% of billings. GP required for a permanent role in a DPA approved area in Bundaberg QLD. Offering 65% of billings or $150 per hour for a 3 month guarantee period, whichever is greater. Mixed billing teaching practice. DPA approved.

General Practitioners work as individual contractors meaning essentially they are "business owners". GPs are almost never salaried employees as in most other countries. General Practitioners bill Medicare for the fee according to the type and number of consultations. A percentage of these fees is then paid to the practice as a service fee.

I have been locuming through Medical Recruitment since 2003. I have always found Susan Hill and her team to be thoroughly professional and always a pleasure to deal with. She is always prompt in getting back to me and, unlike some other agencies, she goes to great lengths to ensure the locum doctor and the practice are well matched. Medical Recruitment is my preferred recruitment agency to deal with. I note a one star review from a very busy traveller - Judging by his other reviews I suspect he did not realise this is a a medical recruitment agency when he phoned requesting "service".
