Too much sun exposure is a common problem in Australia. Sun exposure causes damage to the skin such as lines and wrinkles, thinning and redness of the skin, loss of normal skin tone and elasticity as well as pre-cancerous sun spots (also known as solar keratoses or actinic keratoses). Pre-cancerous sun spots are considered the first step towards Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC), a type of skin cancer.

Seen Dr Chee today and what can I say 10/10. Very professional manner. Listened to me and really understood my skin condition. Gave great advise on how to handle my condition. I have been twice. Both times I was kept waiting at least 30 mins before someone saw me. The first time I didn't mind paying the $195 gap because I had a thorough consultation with a student who was being supervised - though I did not appreciate having to dress after my examination in front of both of them while they discussed me as though I wasn't there.
On my second visit I was out in less than ten minutes with a cursory examination, two prescriptions and very little explanation of my skin condition. I got the prescriptions filled tonight and was horrified at the $166 cost. The cost was doubled

A poor first up impression. Waiting room very crowded and no regard for COVID-safe practices and distancing. Spend longer in the waiting room than for my appointment. 5 mins for $270. At $55/minute I would expect something very professional and thorough. For a person with a fair complexion, she did a cursory check, I even had to ask her to check my head as she was waving me out. Suggested I watch a spot and come back in 3 months but I won't be setting foot there again!

Would highly recommend Dr Yiasemides for cosmetic work. She treated some scars on my face that were difficult to treat and I previously thought it would require surgical excision. I am happy with the outcome and treatment plan. I think Dr Yiasemides has good clinical judgement. I feel that I received good value. The practice can be busy but I never waited long before an appointment. The time it takes to get an appointment can be excessive (usually several months) but this applies to dermatologists everywhere not just this practice. You can usually book in sooner for cosmetic (non-Medicare) appointments

I am one of those who has never written negative reviews but my experience with a specialist compelled me to do so. I wish I had read another patient's review "Thecla Panagopoulos" below before booking an appointment with Dr. Tomizawa. spending a few hundred dollars for just a 5 min appointment, not ready to answer any questions instead cuts you off saying that write them down and she will answer them on the next visit. Attended the nest appointment and when tried to ask the questions, she told me straight away that "next time", stood in the door, handed over some print outs from the web, and advised

I was incredibly skeptical as I had preconceived notions about specialists as I've had family close to me with some real horror stories. That may still be the case with other doctors - but I saw Dr Bonnie Fergie and she was a real throwback to what a Doctor should be. It was refreshing to experience her manner and her expertise in treating my skin condition. I didn't feel like another number, and I didn't feel like I was at the hands of another glorified prescription pedlar who wants me out in 2 mins without examination. Not interested in spending time discussing skin issues properly or providing reasonable customer service. Only interested in charging exorbitant fees and treating people dismissively. Specialists are so expensive to see - it's always extremely frustrating to make the effort and wear the cost to consult one and come away feeling ripped off and no closer to solving the problem. I'll never return to this clinic. Strongly recommend other people avoid also, and go somewhere with better service and outcomes.
