The environment is inclusive, promotes competence, independent exploration and learning through play. We believe that childhood should be filled with fun, happiness and laughter. Our educational approach is one of play based learning, which is recognised as the natural method of learning and is integral to all areas of a child's development.
Services
Nought to Five Early Childhood Centre, previously known as Eden Park Child Care Centre, was established in 1977. The Centre was situated in the heart of the Eden Park Industrial Estate, which at the time was the largest industrial complex of its kind in Australia. It was the first time in this country that a developer (Copeland Developments Ltd) had incorporated a child care centre into an industrial project.
At Nought to Five Early Childhood Centre, a community based not for profit centre, we provide high quality care and education for all our children in collaboration with their families and the wider community. Through our social and physical environment, we welcome and include all, and seek to create a sense of belonging in our centre community.
As Nought to Five Early Childhood Centre is a not-for-profit organisation, the operations of the centre are overseen by a Management Committee, made up of parents with children at our centre. The Management Committee makes all major legal, financial, employment, planning and policy making decisions.
At Nought to Five we recognise that our staff are our greatest asset and we believe they are the backbone to the nurturing, development and education of your child. We make every effort to recruit and retain the best possible early childhood staff to educate and care for your child. All our educators are either fully qualified or studying towards an Early Childhood Degree or Diploma in Children's Services.
I can't begin to describe what Nought to Five has meant to our family over the past 8 and a half years.
But I'll try. a second family and home way from home; an adventure every day; a space to catch up or make new friends; to learn, and not just the kids, from our loving, wise, fun and approachable teachers; an awesome outside place to play with new activities every day; a place where you encourage kids to try new things, like jumping from a height, learn how to cut with a knife, ride a bike at top speed and just have fun; a nurturing, exciting and safe outdoor and indoor oasis for our precious kids to grow and explore.

The staff are extremely engaged and knowledgeable. There is hardly any staff turnover and for the past 2+ years they have help mould both my children from a young age. Both my kids want to go to daycare and always come home with a story and a smile. I get great photos and stories about what the kids did during the day. I highly recommend this place.

Love the Nought To Five approach and support to children and parents.
My child has been attending the centre for over 3 years, moving from the baby room to now the preschool room.
I can see most of the educators there not only they are skilled and supportive educators but also they are very friendly.
When I have any questions, educators are always able to give me answers and advice, and get lots of feedback about what he is doing during the day including how long he naps, how much he eats, etc. Also they are really assisting my kid to become independent and confident with himself.

Nought to Five is one of the best centres in the area (and we tried a few before finding this gem). Their educators are not only passionate and caring but are like family to each other and the parents who entrust the care of their children with them. They have an amazing outdoors area so the kids can run around, they plan activities around the kids interests and often adapt and change as quickly as the kids change their minds, and communication is excellent. It's hard as a parent to leave your children in the care of others, but at Nought to Five I have not once second guessed their care, safety

This is probably the first review I have ever done on Google review. Although our son has been to other childcares, he loves Nought to Five the best in terms of the childcare environment, friendly teachers, group activities and, of course, toys. From parents' perspective, we also think Nought to Five is the best childcare so far. Firstly, their teachers are so friendly not only to kids, parents but also to their colleagues. They are like a big family and some of them have been working there for more than 15+ years! Secondly, their teachers really cares about kids that we will receive weekly updates

We are happy parents who moved our three and a half year old from a previous school to here. Whereas before he hated going to the child care now he is thriving and very happy to be there. The teachers, environment are not only professional and caring but truly understand a child's needs and emotions. Good location, ample parking and open layout of the classrooms and outdoors make it an ideal place for a child to learn, play and enjoy and easy for parents to drop off and pick up. Absolutely recommend Nought to Five.

Really a family friendly Centre, my daughter enrolled at her second year and has been taken really good care of. Even we’re not close to Macquarie area now, I still would like to let her stays. Unlike some of the other centers I used to visit in this area, all the staffs here are really nice and enjoy playing with children. They also helped me a lot to figure out the CCS and any other related information. Best choice for new parents. Highly recommend!

Fantastic community run childcare centre. The staff are always friendly and approachable. They make you comfortable and supported when leaving your child in their care. The prices are much cheaper and the classes sizes seem smaller too which means your child really gets the attention that most parents are after.

My two kids are both in Nought to Five. All the educators and staff are very caring, responsible and helpful. Nought to five is more like home to my kids than a childcare center. I would highly recommend Nought to Five to families in this area.

My twins started attending Nought To Five at the start of this year after being a large chain childcare for the past 2 years. The educators took great care to make their transition feel safe and comfortable, and I feel so happy that they are at such a wonderful place with people who genuinely love their jobs, the children and the families.
The outdoor area is such a great place to explore and play, with so many fun things to do. Totally recommend.

Great lovely place where the educators do care about your child and pays attention to details.
They have real backyard, not an indoor fake backyard, where the kids can feed real horses over the fence and see real birds and insects over the day.
Turn over rate for the educators is extremely low so many of them worked in the centre easily over 5-10 years. This was another big plus for myself as previous childcare we went had constant changes with the educators, sometimes I had to drop off my kids to educators that I never met before. In Nought to Five Child Care centre, the educators know all the
