The golf club is situated in a picturesque, natural setting along the banks of the Campaspe River in the township of Axedale, some 15km east of Bendigo.

The course features several signature holes, including two majestic par fives along the river and the magnificent 15th with its sunken green. A computerised pumping and reticulation system draws river water to irrigate the bent grass greens and lush fairways.

Axedale Golf Course is a picturesque 18 hole layout that is commonly referred to as "Bendigo's hidden treasure". You don't need to be the longest hitter but if you're not straight from the tee you will certainly pay the price. The course plays 5290 metres from the black markers and is par 69; 4840 metres and par 70 from the front (red) tees.
The COURSE AVAILABILITY times below provide an indication of when the course is open for green fee players. Unless directed otherwise by our Office staff, hit off ONLY from the 1st tee with 10 minute intervals between groups, with a maximum of four players per group and two motorised carts per group.
Green Fee Players and Axedale Members booking for social golf times MUST book a tee time on this web page before playing. Axedale Members can login normally and book times on this calendar to play social golf freely as part of their membership. Green Fees are a set $25 for any number of holes played.
Axedale Golf Club has reciprocal rights with numerous clubs throughout Victoria and New South Wales. Axedale Golf Club Members enjoy a range of benefits and reciprocal rights from other courses around Australia. As reciprocal arrangements may change from time to time, we advise all members to contact either Axedale Golf Club or the relevant association.

What a gem of a golf course, not long but challenging. Excellent grass greens that are slick and will test even the best with the flat stick. Several interesting holes and par 3s of varying length make this course worth the effort to play on . Friendly members and nice club house facilities make for an enjoyable experience.

The best kept golf course in Bendigo. All golfers travelling the region must have a round here the course is short and challenging 18 hole par 69 course. The tight 2nd and 3rd are great examples of how short par fours should play. The 15th hole is the only poor hole on the course and even so still has its challenges. The 17th is a great golf hole with a long draw of the tee to a elevated green this 17th makes you stay awake for the hole 18 holes. The fairways have a good combination of common couch that provides for good tight lies. This golf course is loved by its members and it shows. The greens
