Lorraine began her floral journey many ago in Melbourne, where she discovered that this was not only her talent, but also her passion. Raising 2 beautiful young children, Lorraine decided in the early 90's that her home town of Seymour was calling her. Soon moving back to balance work and family life.
It was then River Gum Florist was established. What was only to be a small business has turned into something much bigger than she ever could've hoped for. Lorraine with the help of her team of employees, specialises in Wedding flowers - working with brides to create their dream vision. I received a bunch of flowers today being Saturday which were supposed to be delivered Friday. They weren’t even delivered to our house they were left at our front gate for I don’t know how long. I rang the person who paid for the flowers and she informs me she gave them my number as contact if there was any issues. Have had no correspondence from anyone. Stumbled across the withering flowers turning brown sitting on our front gate in the wind and beating sun. Complete waste of money for the poor person who ordered them.

I called to arrange for next day local delivery of some flowers for my mother who was recovering from surgery. Easy transaction and my mother was exceedingly pleased with her flowers. I was pleased to be able to directly support a local small business and not utilise an ‘national’ or ‘international’ delivery service - can’t do better than that!
