W. McCulloch & Son began in 1945 as a partnership between William (Bill) McCulloch and his son, Ron McCulloch Senior. They converted a HV McKay header to fit on top of a small dozer to make the first track mounted auto harvester in Australia. In 1956 the family moved from Leeton to Bendigo and started manufacturing machinery under the 'Golden' label.
Over the next 45 years they built 545 Golden Land Graders and 240 Golden Scoops for the agricultural industry. William 'Bill' McCulloch retired in 1965 and Ron Senior took over management of the business. Ron McCulloch Junior joined the business in 1967 and Ken McCulloch in 1971 and further diversified the focus into hydraulic sales & service.

Renold provides fixed displacement gear pumps for the industrial and mobile equipment market - for use where relatively simple low cost systems are required. Displacements to 40cc/rev and pressures up to 250 bar. Single and multiple units are available. This completely new design utilizing computer aided engineering has allowed Permco to develop a state of the art external gear pump for heavy duty, high performance mobile applications.
McCulloch's Hydraulics provide a range of Solenoid Directional Control Valves and modular relief, pilot operated check, pressure reducing and flow control valves. PVG 32 is a hydraulic load-sensing valve designed to give maximum flexibility. It is available in many versions, from a simple load sensing directional valve to an advanced electrically controlled load-independent proportional valve.
McCullochs offer a wide range of low-speed hydraulic motors designed for moderate to heavy load requirements. With the many variants available, it is always possible to find the optimum orbital motor solution for your specific application needs. Speeds range from a top speed of approximately 2500 rpm for the smallest type and up to approximately 600 rpm for the largest type.
