Services
We have extensive experience working with period homes, heritage overlays and challenging sites. Consequently, we are experienced with complicated town planning applications including VCAT hearings. The majority of our work has been on beautiful and uplifting period home extensions and renovations throughout Melbourne.
All going well, we will meet on-site and discuss your project vision, opportunities, challenges and broad costs. Coordination of other consultants & products as required (land survey, soil testing, engineering, energy ratings, etc). We can administer the building contract, and be your representative on site to monitor quality and construction progress.
A "PassiveHouse" is any building that has been designed and formally certified by the "Passive Haus Institute" (PHI) to be comfortable, healthy, and have very low heating/cooling energy demand.
The certification process is entirely voluntary, it's rigorous, it's based in engineering and physics, and yes, it costs a little bit of money to undertake - however the upfront design and certification costs are paid back many times over in reduced running costs over the life of the building.Any Building Designer or Architect can design a comfortable, healthy and efficient building, right?
