We care about conservation and ensure your work is framed to meet international preservation and conservation standards. As well as restoring frames, we offer expert restoration & retouching services for works on paper, canvas & photographs of all vintages. We may also refer you to our network of industry experts for specialised and in depth advice.
Experience allows us to perfectly balance colour, space and design to complement your individual sense of style and budget. Our work is intended to grace your walls for a lifetime. We take the time to discuss your requirements, incorporate your ideas and provide the perfect framing solution. The hand wrapping of fabric over matting and liner frames (slips) is a dying art.
Werestored his silver gelatine antique photograph by reconsolidating the base emulsion and retouching the missing areas of the image. We repaired and refinished the frame, replacedthe missing ornaments and brought it back to life with a combination of Shellac and toner. As you can see from the photographs, this stunning 1901 Mirror piece was in terrible shape.

ARTIS PURA provides the best framing in the Brisbane and South East Queensland. Their restoration work is brilliant and they are only too happy to provide direction and advice. The work they have done for me over the years - from restoring my elderly father's baby photo and frame to more modern pieces in their "Native Timbers" range elicit great comments from those who see them.

I have had several pieces of Japanese ukiyo-e framed at Artis Pura. Each frame has been unique and complements the artwork and as a couple of my pieces are more than 160 years old, it's a relief to know they're protected under conservation-quality glass.

Plus, they'll make sure they last a lifetime by using the best techniques & materials to suit your piece. Honestly can't sing their praises enough! I'm so, so happy with the result. Erin is a talented and artistic framer with an excellent eye for colour. Her work is meticulous and of the highest standard. The frame becomes an extension of the artwork.
