Mechanical servicing and tyres aren't just what Carrum Downs Car and Tyre Centre do, they're what they live for on the Mornington Peninsula. From the age of 10, owner Nathaniel Tsotsos has pulled cars and motorbikes apart and put them back together. Mechanically curious, he spent his work experience in workshops and worked part time after school fixing family and friends' cars.
All tyres are expertly fitted and balanced while you wait. We can also conduct a wheel alignment to ensure your tyres perform at their optimum level. When you drive, your car's suspension may become worn and the shocks and springs can wear out and stretch.

Generally when you sell or re-register a used vehicle in Victoria, a Certificate of Roadworthiness is required. This helps reduce the number of poorly maintained vehicles on the road. A Licensed Vehicle Tester is the only one authorised to issue a Certificate of Roadworthiness. Carrum Downs Car & Tyre Centre is a Licensed Vehicle Tester authorised to undertake roadworthy inspections and issue Road Worthy Certificates or RWC's.
Our basic log book servicing starts at $199 and includes oil & filter change, fluid levels topped up and full 99 point safety check. If your vehicle requires further repairs, we'll provide you with a full report and wont commence any work without your prior approval. We guarantee to keep you up to date and informed so there are no surprises at time of payment.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend CarrumDowns Car Centre, great work and they look after their customers.
My gearbox had major issues, the boys checked everything over and looked at all options before giving me the verdict, I gave the go ahead for a new gearbox and went to rest my wallet.
The boys not only had it ready to go super quick, they made sure everything else was good to go down the line, and it didn't hurt as much as I expected.

Called to arrange a road-worthy inspection and pre-work. Person on the phone was very unhelpful, talked in circles, I had to explain the process of getting RWC prior to sale to HIM. Very unprofessional and poor service, ended up giving up and going elsewhere.
Possible he didn't want the work due to the age of my car, if so - unprofessional, either way - waste of time, unhelpful and overcharges (said he'd charge me twice for a road-worthy check even without certificate when all I needed was pre-work and road-worthy later).

Amazing work & outstanding service! I even got a free coffee during my visit!
In another place I was quoted for a ridiculous amount of money for a basic service, which Nathaniel quoted once again for me. Thanks to him I saved up a lot of time, effort, and I got told things about my car other mechanics failed to let me know... Like my air filters hadn't been replaced for a while.
Definitely worth the visit, this is my one stop car shop now!!
