Services
Paula brings a wealth of experience to the Colonial Tweed from the Hospitality & Customer Service industry. Paula has had a number of years experience in park management and we are lucky to have her with us even though she had to jump the 'ditch' to be here. Sharyn has been at Colonial Tweed for more years than you can count on your fingers & toes.
We are proud to be a privately operated caravan park with a variety of holiday and permanent accommodation. We offer affordable, family-friendly, and self contained holiday stays and long-term rental accommodation along the northern New South Wales coast line. Choose to stay in one of our holiday cabins, cottages, powered sites, ensuite sites or camp sites.
We have stayed in the same cabin on previous visits. Cabins are immaculately clean and beautifully furnished. The park is well maintained and tidy and the view of the river is very peaceful and relaxing. I cant think of any improvements to your service, you seem to have have it all covered. We had a wonderful visit and look forward to staying with you next time we come down to the Gold Coast.
Colonial Tweed is located right on the southern bank Tweed River. You can fish, swim, snorkel and sail on this beautiful waterway. The surrounding pathways invite you to enjoy a leisurely or heart pumping walk in great surroundings. We also have some great bike riding tracks. The park provides a leisure area with an alluring swimming pool with a view of the Tweed River.
There are many beautiful beaches within a five minute drive of Colonial Tweed. Coolangatta beach with its beautiful foreshore parks and restaurant / coffee shop precinct is a must place to spend time "kicking back". Other local beaches are just as pleasant a place for relaxation. Kirra, Greenmount, Rainbow Bay and Duranbah have great waves and are extremely popular with local board riders and families.

We stayed at ensuite 2E, large area to park car, tent , trailer plus a bit of room left.Next door resident Kim was so kind and friendly, making us feel welcome. All other residents were also nice. Place is quiet except when the planes pass by which didnt bother us at all. Really clean and homely. We have really enjoyed our stay there, and would recommend highly.

Highly recommended avoiding this place. We stayed during the border closures with Qld and were forced to pay upfront for a week, despite requesting to pay daily due to the unknown volatility of the border situation.
We where lucky enough to get an immediate border pass after 4 days of staying so we had to leave and cross the border immediately and then enter hotel quarantine. On requesting a refund for the 3 additional days we did not stay, due to the extreme extenuating circumstances, the manager refused.
The park was half empty so our last minute checkout was in no way effecting their ability

Staff are friendly, nice place, neat and clean, love their kitchen and very good for groups camping.
Stayed two nights, some noise from airplane as they landing (morning and late afternoon) but didn't hear in night time. No things the park can deal.with this noise if you want to camp around there due to close to Gold coast airport. But no big problem noise in daytime and you are out away for visiting around.

Loved it, I stayed 2 days there, a last minute trip, and I wish I could have stayed longer! But they were fully booked, fair enough for the place is very nice and calm, along the river, peaceful and restful. Bed is so comfy and everything was clean and new. Thank you very much!

My daughter and son in law rented a cabin here for 2 days so that the family could have Christmas there. Comfortable accomodation and next to the river boat ramp so we could use their jet skis. Very large veranda where 12 of us enjoyed Christmas lunch.
