My husband and I are so grateful for Bec's help planning our wedding with 112 people at Little Cove with reception at the Sugar Wharf in Port Douglas. We hired Bec to be our wedding planner very early in our planning process and it was the best decision of the whole wedding. We came to her with a date and a venue idea, and she hit the ground running to help us organise literally everything else. Bec is amazing. A wonderful person and brilliant planner. She made our day perfect. She was able to recommend multiple options with her extensive connections to suppliers within North Queensland. She was clear on our vision and budget and easily accommodated both. She allowed us to be as involved as we wanted to be, easing any anxieties during the process. And seamlessly handled the ups and downs of Covid with a smile. We thought we could potentially plan a wedding without a wedding planner… how wrong we were!! Bec was absolutely amazing in every aspect of planing and executing our special day. When she was in Melbourne on a personal holiday she went out of her way to ensure she caught up with us to make sure everything was organised for our big day. Unfortunately our original date was cancelled due to Covid. Bec ensured that everything was seamlessly rescheduled to our new date. We met with a few wedding planners in Port Douglas and Bec was a clear standout. She stood out to us for her beautiful, bubbly personality and her clear drive and passion for her job and creating memorable weddings for her clients.
Being two designers, we had a strong image of how our wedding would look and run. I am sure at times we were testing clients for Bec but not once did she complain or make us feel like we were being difficult. Her knowledge for the industry and Port Douglas is second to none. She was always so prompt in replying to emails and messages

We met Bec at a wedding expo and quickly decided that if we were to pull off a "destination wedding", having Bec on our team was a must. We can't thank Bec enough from her unlimited patience at my multiple questions, her advice on suppliers and dos/donts for the day, right down to having little jobs for mum to do so she was kept busy and felt included! Bec was professional and friendly, warm and knowledgeable and no task was too big or small. When it came to planning our wedding… we didn’t know where to start. Contacting and hiring Bec was the best thing we did. She was extremely supportive, offered the best advice and was always available to answer any questions we had, both before and on the day of the wedding.

Where do I even begin! Bec was amazing and is incredible at her job. My partner and I are from Victoria, we met Bec through emails, texts and phone calls and instantly we knew she was right for us. As a marriage celebrant I get the opportunity to work with lots of wedding suppliers and Bec from Dragonfly Weddings is one of the best wedding co-ordinators in Port Douglas. I recently engaged Bec Mclean from DragonFly Weddings and Events to help us with the planning and execution of a full weekend awards event for my organisation. From the very first conversation that I had with Bec, I found her to be organised, proactive and helpful in every possible way. We live in Victoria, so to organize a location wedding for our daughter Georgia, we decided it best to engage Bec’s services.
