A heat sealler (or heat sealing machine) seals product via joining two materials together (with at least one layer being a thermoplastic layer). Two clamps have controlled heating elements which then melts the thermoplastic into a seal. A shrink wrapping machine applies heat to shrink polymer plastic film in order to tighten the wrapping structure. Shrink wrapping products and materials prevents them from spoiling, degrading and other exposure to the elements.
A vauum sealing machine or vacuum packaging machine uses suction to remove oxygen (and therefore eliminating bacterial growth) and other potential contaminants before applying a heat seal. The machine places items in a plastic package film, surgically syphons out all air, and then seals the opening with heat sealing.
