After living in Adelaide and Melbourne, Tina and Evan made a 'tree change' to the Barossa Valley fifteen years ago, deciding that climbing the corporate ladder was no longer what made us happy! Now with two little girls, Ruby and Elsie, the country lifestyle is the perfect place to raise our family.
Stonewell's Barossa Vineyards is located on the western side of the Barossa Valley, in South Australia, 4km from Tanunda and 1km from the famous palm lined Seppeltsfield Road and the village of Marananga. Owned and operated by Evan and Tina Gobell, the family property covers a large portion of the small valley of Stonewell.

Stonewell Cottages offers luxury Barossa vineyard accommodation; with our Haven Spa Suites, the Hideaway Cottage and Cupid's Cottage all overlooking a picturesque lake. Each accommodation choice is surrounded by vineyard and cottage gardens and all have cosy wood fires, two person spa baths and lake views.
Overlooking the lake and tucked away behind native trees and accessed via a separate driveway to the other cottages, Cupid's offers the ultimate in absolute privacy and seclusion and is a popular choice for honeymoons and special occasions such as proposals and anniversaries.
The cottage is well equipped for longer stays and features a full kitchen with oven and washer/dryer, beautiful king bedroom with sunken two person spa bath and living area with comfy lounge and cosy wood fire.Enjoy the stunning lake and vineyard views from the outdoor courtyard. Take the steps leading down from your front verandah to the water's edge and own private row boat.

We had the most amazing time at the Haven Spa accomm recently; the location was beautiful on the private lake, the food provided was great/generous, and the ambiance was just perfect for our honeymoon! Special highlights were going on the row boat and feeding the ducks each day! We also enjoyed walking around the lake. We did visit some wineries but we really wanted to spend a lot of our time on the property as it was just so relaxing…credit to the serene atmosphere! Tina was really helpful and quick to reply to messages with recommendations etc. We will recommend this to all our friends - great

A wonderful little cottage in tranquil surrounds. A great spot to visit the wineries and short drive/taxi to the town of Tanunda. Cottage was exceptionally clean and comfortable with all modern conveniences and lots of beautiful extras. Enjoyed the spa, wood heater and fantastic Barossa produce provided, exceptional. Tina provides excellent service and everything was perfectly organised for us. Thanks Tina.

The cottage it's beautiful itself, but what makes it special is the surrounding environment. This is what I call privacy!
The reason why this review is 4 stars instead of 5, it's because the experience it's very expensive (same price I spent for an all inclusive in a 5 stars resort in Maldives!), so I would have expected at least some filtered water in the fridge (or to be told to bring my own), furthermore, there was no ice in the freezer, just one tiny cube left, the wine glasses in the cabinet were not clean and the mattress is made by two
