Most Un-Australian thing happend here today.
I was waiting in line in a unattended bottle shop for longer than it should be unattended. With two customers infront waiting In line with no one around. Clearly wallet sitting on bench of employee. Everybody doing the right thing waiting to pay for there items ✅.
The employee finally arrives gives slight apology.
Bloke in front gives him the money for his purchase and keep the change even after waiting so long in good gesture.
Next bloke is 5c short he makes a scene makes the bloke go back

The food, atmosphere and staff at the Edgeworth Tavern are easily in the top 3 in the area, and more importantly, we've found they keep that standard consistently every single night.
Everything on their menu has been an absolute hit with us and our friends and family, and their prices and quality are the best we've found anywhere around.
Recently tried the Monday night $18 special for 2 schnitzels and sides, and I doubt we could find a better quality meal for a more reasonable price anywhere else in Newcastle.
The staff are an absolute pleasure to deal with, the playground is great for entertaining

Absolutely would recommend this place . We celebrated my partner's bday here in December and have been back a few times since. Because There lunch and dinner meals are very affordable, The professionalism from the kitchen staff to the waitresses to the bar staff is above standards and there always so friendly and attentive. I wouldn't choose anywhere else when your always looked after this good and the food is absolutely fantastic can not fault it 😀

Food was fine. Price was fine. Good service. But 18 dollars for a large glass of house red - you gotta be kidding me. 11 dollars elsewhere. Won't be back.

Had dinner at the restaurant on Tuesday night and it was terrible. The squid was like rubber and had little taste. The chips were all stuck together and it wasn't cheap. There are far better restaurants around.
