Established in 2011, the company services a wide and varied clientele, ranging from the resources and energy industries through to local small business. Commencing operations with just two employees, the company has grown to now employ thirty-five team members, taking pride in providing career opportunities and on the job training and education.
In 2016, MFE won the Medium Employer of the Year at the QLD Training Awards, crediting the individualised, quality training programs established for each of the employees. Early on in the MFE journey, a policy was implemented that all local permanent jobs would be filled by locals. This commitment to ensure the company supported its regional community became, and still is today, a stand out example of the drive to invest in the regional economy.

With almost 10 years of operation, nearly half a million man hours and more than $30 million dollars in works to date, MFE has the experience to deliver. One of the key strengths of MFE is in its ability to build relationships with clients, employees, suppliers and the community. MFE's workshop capabilities provide our customers with highly technical and specialised fabrication services centrally located in the Surat Basin/Western Downs region. We teach and implement LEAN manufacturing processes to remain competitive and ensure continuous process improvement. Our workshop includes guillotine, brake press, H press, milling and lathe assets along with other standard workshop equipment.
MFE is a major service provider of HVAC and electrical services in the Surat Basin region with clients extending throughout the entire Western Downs Shire and beyond. Our local staff, our significant storage and mobile tooling facilities and our industry leading training and education programs provide an excellent foundation on which to operate.
