Talking Buddies
Are you concerned that your child is not communicating as clearly or effectively as others of the same age?. My name is Ann Thwaites, founder of Talking Buddies a family orientated speech pathology service for children. At Talking Buddies, time will be taken to provide an assessment and therapy service to meet your child's needs.

I primarily work with children 0-8 years old who are having some difficulty with communication. The Graceville speech pathology practice offers a friendly, modern, well resourced environment for children and parents. A mobile service is also available to home, school and kindergarten in West Brisbane.

Learning to use speech sounds is an important part of your child's development. During their first year, babies begin playing with sounds by babbling and start using words or simplified words at around 12 months. Children do vary in their speech sound development but most 4 year olds can say most speech sounds.
When speech pathologists talk about speech and language they are talking about two different things. Speech refers to the sounds and sound patterns your child makes when babbling, vocalizing or saying words it includes the rhythm of speech; whether there is any stuttering behaviour and vocal quality appropriate for your child's age.

Cannot recommend Ann enough, she has helped in the development of my son's speach in which has lead to a complete change in his behavior. He's a busy 4 year old boy who's always on the go but he cannot wait to see her for his lessons! Thankyou.

When my daughter first started seeing Ann, no one could understand what she was saying, even my daughter had trouble understanding other people when they would ask her a question. My daughter now has no trouble making friends and speaking her mind. Ann has such a
