Flourish Speech Pathology provides speech therapy services and supports that are planned to meet the unique needs of your child and your family. Individualised speech therapy intervention and strategies to promote your child's communication skills and development. Consultation with your child's day care, kindy or school to make sure we are all working together to support your child's communication needs.
We strive to get a balance of fun play based/functional speech therapy while at the same time reducing unwanted distractions. Speech therapy goals don't have to be worked on in isolation. Sarah is experienced at working on communication goals in conjunction with your child's other therapy targets (gross motor, fine motor, sensory needs).
Flourish Speech proudly offers speech therapy services using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) strategies and technology. Our speech therapy is designed around having access to various types of AAC. Picture Communication Symbols (PCS), PODD books, visual timetables, key word signing, easy single switch devices, switch toys and an iPad are just some of the AAC options available at Flourish Speech Pathology, Bundaberg.
Families who have private health cover may be entitled to a rebate for speech pathology services. Please check with your private health insurance provider to determine if you are covered for speech pathology services. Your may be eligible for Medicare benefits to cover allied health services (including speech pathology) to help manage a chronic condition.
